Alright, here are my very early speculations, ranked in categories from most realistic to least realistic.
Most Realistic
Blumhouse mashup: The Black Phone 2 (and Smile 3?)
The Black Phone 2 seems like an easy and obvious shoe-in but I'm not sure what the other Blumhouse movie would be paired with it. My money is on Smile 3 since that will be being released November 2026 so it makes sense to put it in here and promote it.
Stranger Things: Season Finale
This also feels very, very obvious. Given that we've had it in past years, it only makes sense to close out the show with one last hurrah of it at HHN.
Ozzy: A Tribute
I have to second everyone who has already said this. I know HHN loves their music themed houses (especially in Hollywood) and given that HHN has collabed with Ozzy Osbourne before with the Black Sabbath house, and given his recent passing, it only makes sense for this tribute to happen.
Cat Lady of Crooked Lane
I know HHN has given us scarezones turned houses and this one was so popular and fun, it would be a huge missed opportunity to not see this converted into a house. It would be THE "fun" house of the year.
35 Years of HHN: Icons or Best Hits House
With it being an anniversary house, I feel like it's also a no-brainer we will get either an Icons house again or a Best of/Hits house featuring scenes from some of the best houses from HHN past.
Less Realistic but still Possible
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2
I know a lot of people are suggesting this one seems like a given, but I'm a little skeptical because we got it last year. How much different would the sequel house really be to the one we got this past year? There's only so much you can do aesthetically to make this different and I feel like it would feel like too soon/early for a near-repeat...but...given how popular it was...anything is possible. My bet would be more on seeing this as a scarezone or street experience instead if anything.
Sinners
The movie was a huge hit and has style all over it. I was surprised we didn't get it in 2025 but perhaps 2026 will be the year for it.
Hellraiser
I mean I love the IP BUT I'm not really sure where the rumors are coming from for thiS...but I guess I'll just echo what's been said. I'd love to see it.
Wednesday
Another "back up" if Netflix doesn't go with Stranger Things for whatever reason. Would've made more sense to have it this past year with the new season but...
Evil Dead Burn
I thought it was such a devastating loss that we didn't end up with Evil Dead Rise in Orlando. With the latest installment coming in 2026, I think this would be a great opportunity to course correct and give us another Evil Dead house we deserve and cross promote the new movie.
Even less likely but...Hear me Out
Koven
I LOVED (!!!) this theme of Dead Coconut Club this year and I think this has TONS of potential for a really awesome house. I know we haven't had a DCC ---> house yet but I'm really gunning for this.
Gremlins
Listen, I'm going to throw this out and manifest this every year until it materializes and I know i'm not alone. It's not that far fetched given there’s been Gremlins merch in the park. I think it's obvious that it will come at some point I'm just not sure when or if next year is the year. I almost have a feeling it would come on an anniversary year of the movie but...I'm going to continue to throw it out regardless.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple
Either 28 Years Later or the sequel The Bone Temple. It's been a while since we've had a solid zombie house. What better IP?
Werewulf
We still know so little about it but Robert Eggers' Werewulf could have potential...
Scream
I'm putting it in even less likely because we know it's been such a nightmare to license but with the new installment coming out...perhaps this is the year they get it figured out...
Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein
If we don't see Stranger Things as Netflix's contribution, I could potentially see Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. I'm more skeptical about this for several reasons: 1) it seems like Universal would prefer to keep *their* Frankenstein IP and not utilize a different version of the Frankenstein monster. However, it's a damn gorgeous film aesthetically and there's so many great scenes you could recreate. I will also concede it's not very "jump scare" friendly but some of the best houses we've gotten have been more aesthetic focused (i.e El Artista.)
