Posting fake rumors to try and catch a person that is sharing your info? When did the internet become so serious? These are theme park rumors, not top secret CIA info. I love the site, and the discussion, but some of you take yourselves a little too seriously. Posting fake rumors on purpose doesn't help anyone or anything, it just causes more mis-information to be spread. In case there wasn't enough of it on the net already. You can't control what people post on other forums. Forums main purpose is to promote discussion of insider knowledge and rumors in the first place. You're basically trying to kill what you are trying to accomplish. It makes no sense to me. Just my two cents, i'll go back in my hole now.

HTF wasn't sharing "rumors". It was real, concrete he was sharing from his sources. Info that was very specific, and could be traced back to him and his sources. Sources with jobs on the line if they were found to be sharing the information going around. HTF took a risk in trusting people with info that could be damage not only to his reputation with sources, but with the jobs and therefore lives of those people. So yes, it is top secret info. And he damn well has a right to be bothered by it being taken advantage of.

He was posting them in the VIP lounge, an area that is for members who have donated to the site. The thread in question had a disclaimer saying for our eyes only... that's all I'm saying about it. Now if he posted stuff here and then posted false stuff seriously to catch someone that would be different as this can be seen any anyone and their dog who has a blog. /badjoke

I couldn't agree more with you. Mainly on the point that some of you do take yourselves WAY to seriously. We're all here along for the ride, to watch these projects come to fruition, it's just a bit of fun really.

But when you get jealous and whiny when another site is relaying what you said, it's time to wake up and put things in perspective. This is the 21st century, what do you expect? And when you delegate 'information' to 'VIP' members.. well that's just shady as hell. Especially when you've got excellent sites like screamscape whom I've been following for 8 years now, giving out all the info he gets with no compensation from readers whatsoever. And i know you don't like Lance, because he 'steals' your information, well think of this.. don't you steal information from your informant? How does he feel? Does he get jealous too?

Everyone realizes that giving the info straight up, detailed breakdowns on certain things that only certain people know can cost people their jobs? On the low end, it could cost any one of our insiders their sources. Nobody is "jealous" that other sites "steal" info. They get upset when they aren't credited for the info. HUGE difference. Lance has been known to not credit the site or its members and pass off the info as if he didn't hear it from here. THAT'S why people get pissed. As for the pedestal comment, you realize there is a reason that we have the best informants when it comes to this stuff? Because our members are careful with what they EXACTLY say at what time and don't just blurt things out. Maybe you don't get it, maybe you've never been a reporter or had journalism classes, but once you lose a source, they're gone for good. Don't be spoiled. Don't be selfish. If you don't like it, go read another board and Screamscape.

I don't believe information should be credited to anyone, especially when it's second hand info he's getting in the first place, any credit should not go to hatetofly. And Screamscape links to you guys all the time, what more do you want? I can understand credit for pictures, that's fine. But information? nope.

Ummm, you guys do realize that the theme park industry is a very competitive muiltibillion dollar mulitnational industry, right? The phrase "Corporate Espionage" wasn't invented for fun. Real peoples real jobs are on the line. And the theme parks operators are very serious about their business.

If you don't like how the guys that run this site choose to give out iinformation, if it's not fast enough or complete enough, you can always hang out at Universal Orlando Resort's official site and get all the details you need to plan your next visit.

One of the reason I was drawn to this site and continue to visit it on a daily basis is because of the knowledge of the insiders and the amount of spot on information that is provided here. And as a VIP I will tell you that I see and read more information in the VIP thread than I do on Screamscape and usually see it here days before I do over there and some of it Screamscape doesn't even have a clue yet about.
