Wizarding World - Diagon Alley Discussion (Opens 2014)

I remember HTF saying something like "Everyone will be able to ride the Hogwarts Express." (Sorry I didn't search back through for the actual quote.)

Now I'm thinking that the way most of us read that, that even people with 1-Park tickets would be able to ride, may have been wrong. Maybe he meant that everyone will be able to ride because everyone will have a 2-Park ticket!

If I'm right, kudos on the cryptic clues, HTF.

I think UO should say "f--- it", and just make ALL existing 1-park passes good for both parks. You're just going to ride the train to the other park and spend $50 on a magic wand -- what's the downside?

This would be a good PR move -- they quietly raise the price for a 2-park pass, but also announce that they are upgrading all 1-park tickets to 2 parks "for free".

Ok so Im super excited this is has awkwardly been announced and we have concept art. But are on any HP fans left with a "blah" taste in their mouths when it comes to the design of diagon alley? The london side looks great, but when you start looking at the store fronts in diagon, they look pretty traditional. No wonky angles: I wonder if they were trying to differentiate it from Hogsmeade. Im hoping that the concept art will be changed a bit, but Hogsmeade's was pretty on point.

Why does this new sturcture look like its no where near Gringotts? Optical Illusion? It looks like its over the shops...

What I don't get is how OI is able to get all these constructions pics multiple times a week and yet some of our guys here get static the second they release a shutter

I completely agree. Like, it looks like Diagon Alley won't look like Diagon Alley from the movies, but more what it looks like on Pottermore.

It's just early concept art, folks. Look at the original Hogsmead Wizarding World concept art, It showed falling snow, snow in the streets, carts that don't exist...etc... I woudln't be surprised if the new expansion doesn't really get the Knight Buss.

This is an artsy rendering. We know they're working with the movie people to make it look movie-authentic :thumbs:

Something very VIP happened today but announcing this to you folk doesn't make you more knowledgable...

This was as much as I was allowed to say and even this pushed it. Teams were given info late yesterday after park management and creative gave a presentation to corporate execs and some BIG time shareholders about everything 609, 722, and 971. They presented there attractions, planned opening schedules, projected impact on quarterly revenues, and so on. The artwork you see here has been held back in a secret vault for months. It's been planned to do a small presentation like this with very generic artwork much like Phase 1 did. But what kicked this into a rush were the powers that be wanted to do a presentation now due to the massive amount of leaks. What I'm saying is the content of the announcement isn't rushed just the timing. We shouldn't of seen this until after July.

Because OI doesn't have the wicked leaks that this site has. They aren't upset with the pics, they are upset with the leaks. Hopefully the next illicitly taken fabrication pictures are placed on servers in Tunisia, Bhutan, and Argentina. That would give Uni legal a bit of a fox-hunt. :wave:
