Interesting. Sounds almost like it's a purposeful management unwritten policy.

Apparently design work on Hook went very far in 2017. To the point costumes were completed--Voldemort, Bellatrix (I hear her dress is breath-takingly gorgeous, with moon rocks sewn in), and a couple Dementors. The costumes were even given a "dry run" through Nocturne Alley on Halloween night. I get a sense Creative secretly hoped someone would spot them and start an internet legend, tho that didn't happen. But it shows Creative is proud of their work, still likely want to show it off.

Assuming they can figure out the logistics, I can't think of a better marketing hook than this show.

If they go with a rotation based casting approach next year, the performances in the houses are going to be lackluster.

Speaking from my experience, I could tell the difference in energy and performance when I had a couple of reserves in my room with me. The performances are much better when performers are given ownership over their scares. If a performer is just filling in for the night, most of the time it’s not nearly as good as the hard cast.

Part of what made Blumhouse far better than it should have been was the cast camaraderie. Having the same cast hanging out in the same space with the same common purpose added so much more to the house. I actually think isolating break spaces for each house would add a lot to the performances.

Last year, I finally fell on the side of "Ifrit just making it up from online rumors." However--he just dropped a bombshell that I believe to be obscure/correct. No, I will not elaborate, but he's back in the serious column.

That just screams Halloween or Stranger Things, possibly even an original. Over on the Hollywood forums there’s a ton of talk on whether there’s rights issues with IT/how it might effect the maze. Can anyone here confirm?

A possible question, if they go nightly all around, what if they do it where Monday's-Wednesdays go till 9-10 PM? Then for Thursdays-friday's, 10-11PM, and then Saturday and Sunday's from 10-1AM? Could that be a possible way to stretch out the amount of staff needed for certain nights, or would they try to keep to something more to last year's operating hour time-angle?

I couldn't imagine a closing before 11pm and I think a pre-midnight closure would also be weird.

On one hand, yes, it'd be weird; but a part of me just can't see them doing it to 11 PM on Monday's to Wednesday's.

Maybe 12 for Monday's to Wednesday's. 1 for Thursday's and Sunday's (Like Knotts) and then 2 for Friday's and Saturday's.

I could... I have no idea what the ifrit is going on about though, and I still don't really want to acknowledge them.

Anything is technically possible, but running the event for less 3 hours is nearly pointless. I can't see them not going until midnight. They'd also not want to force performers to do 7 days a week with such a strenuous job.

Also HNN is a upcharge...why would anyone want to pay the upcharge for three hours in a park?

Eh, the event feels short on time as it is..

Would it be crazy to suggest that they hire a weekend cast and a weekday cast?

Again... It would most likely be 3 day or 4 day sets, alternating which cast as the extra "off" day.

That way they're not "filling holes" because the casts will be standard, and there's equity in total hours/days worked.

The solution is simple. There's no reason to complicate it.
