Production has begun on the Live-Action adaptation of the beloved Disney attraction, the Jungle Cruise.

Starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne (THE ROCK) Johnson; the film will be directed by Juame Collet-Serra, as the film releases on October 11th, 2019.

What do you think? Do you think that @Drew will be front in line for the movie? Are you excited to see a film with Blunt & Johnson leading? Comment below!

The movie's tone is really going to be the key to whether or not it works.

Blunt and Johnson are really charming, appealing performers, so that obviously helps. Collet-Serra seems, on the surface, to be a baffling choice to helm a family-appropriate adventure film, but if one looks deeper at his movies, one will find he's a pretty self-aware filmmaker with a very playful side. THE COMMUTER, from earlier this year, was a fun and fairly stylish B-movie that knew exactly what it was trying to be.

Didn't they already wrap up filming? What would cause such a lengthy delay?
Guess they want to avoid releasing this so close to the Jumanji sequel?
That’s what I was thinking. Either that or to get away from a cluttered release schedule in general... or, worst case scenario, because it’s terrible and the studio is ordering reshoots. I don’t think that’s the case though, they can usually push that type of thing through fast and make a release date, or close to, it if they wanted to.
