CityWalk Orlando Updates & Changes General Thread

An "arcade" with consoles where you could play Nintendo's latest titles isn't the worst idea in the world.

Well. For Nintendo at least. Not sure the ROI is there for Uni.

I remember talking about this a few years ago, but does anyone know when the BK/Moes/Panda licenses expire?

Really think CityWalk could benefit from a new concept there.

I'd like to see them retain the "Food Court" feel with some more unique offerings. Much in the way Bend the Bao, Bread Box, and Red Oven exist as unique places to eat, rather than traditional fast food chains.

It's also far from the best. This is up there with people claiming the land would have docks for switches to play on TVs. It's a nonstarter when there are game demos in Nintendo Stores! Build a Nintendo Store!

Some highlights from New Years Eve

The event was awesome. They had custom NYE graphics on all screens found in the CityWalk bars. The DJ on the promenade was awesome, he was actually djing, not just playing some corny playlist. It was for sure a techno genre, but inside of Rising Star and Coconut yo could find hip-hop. Pat O's had the piano and Bob Marley's had a fantastic band and Jamaican DJ. The only thing they could've benefited from was actually advertising the event, and posting the proper hours for the event. The website and app said everything closed at 1am, but in reality it was 2. The streets were PACKED, but the venues themselves were not much busier than a standard Saturday night.

Overall, hats off to the team who put tons of effort into this event!
