I can picture "The Dealer's" haunted casino right now:

The main enterance is a rundown casino (use the pic provided to help visualize) with the flash-letters on top of the billboard marquee. They kinda look like they "hae seen its better days" being all bent and rusted. Neon is busted, weeds, and anything else to make the building like the sign outside the perminter that says "CONDEMNED".

BTW: I have been there in Las Vegas.

I wish HHN would release Films based on their stars. An annual movie, even if it's straight to DVD or limited release, would be amazing. A Shady Brook series. Jack. Caretaker and Cindy. I'd buy an entire box set of HHN based films, B-movies or not. It could really strengthen the mythos and promote the event.

For those of you who read Nightmares you are probably aware but there apparently is a twitter feed dropping hints at what our icon could be. Rumors exist about a gambling oriented event as well but the main focus is that this twitter feed is making references to madness and inner evil making people wonder if this is the focus of the event and what our icon might be.

This personally reminded me of 2004 where the event took place in the insane individuals head but there never was a tangible icon. Personally I enjoy this concept and kind of hope this individual returns.

Plllease no Disorientorium.

What? I'd love to see a Diso2. Mind of Norman Bates was pretty much Diso1.5. I think they could pull it off significantly better now than they did in 2004. I think it would be an original event, and maybe not necessarily in the same characters head but it is something to discuss.

From my understanding they want to build new concepts and franchises and not use those of the past SO I doubt they'll be using any older houses or doing something that similar but as I said it is a discussion point.

Well thats one year I missed, but it didn't look too exciting to me, I just wish I didn't miss Vampyr and Hellgate, those are the only 2 houses I regret not having seen.

But I really like the idea for a commercial I came up with on the previous page, that everyone just skipped over

I still can't ignore the fact that being that this is the 21st year there is going to be an even bigger push for alcohol than usual. I feel like they're going to embrace the stereotype that people go all out on their 21st.

How this could translate into the event, I have no idea, but it'd be neat to see.

Sidenote...
I feel like an all out "old las vegas" theme could be pretty neat. You could in theory tie a ton of older themes and icons back into said theme and still keep it relevant.

The first house I ever worked in was Vampyr: Bloodbath. Sooooo bad.

Dude I am sorry, both of which are in my top ten list and Castle Vampyr is in my top three. Castle Vampyr really took the houses to another level for me. And as far as DisO2 is concerned as long as they don't have that inflatable wall to try to pass through I am great with the idea. That wall, oh man that thing slowed the line down to a crawl.

Inflatable Walls at HHN? I number of haunts I have been to use them and HOS uses them but not sure how they would work at HHN with the super Congo lines. I could see them being destroyed. Many years ago when they Did the Titanic themed duel haunt(I forget the name but it was in 98) They had a casino room and one one of the dealers was the legendary Chainsaw Wolf. I like the idea of a run down casino vary original and lots of material to work with.

I agree it is time to make new icons and go in a newer direction. Also saw a comment about alcohol sales being pushed harder. They make more money on Alcohol then they do on tickets so of course they will continue to push it.

I turned 21 this year so I can't wait to participate in some alcoholic beverages at the parks!
I do however dislike the people who become rowdy and spill their beer all over the place, but whether they push sales or not, it's going to happen.

Oh yea believe me, I was pissed after I saw videos and read reviews, I was much younger, I didn't have a job that year because I was laid off from American Airlines (thanks 9/11) and I couldn't go.

I don't think they will. In 2007 they had a HUGE push for alcohol sales and around half way through the event they pulled back on that. They realized that they were opening up a can of worms. There might be a slight increase but I doubt we will ever see as much alcohol pushed again.

I liked Blood Bath. Well let me rephrase that. I didn't think it was as bad as people made it out to be. Albeit it's still in my bottom. Nothing on you guys though.

They've used inflatable walls at HHN. Recently at that. 2007 (Jack's Fun House) and 2008 (Reflections) had inflatables walls in one scene of the house. I don't know if they will make a return, but I would say it's far from out ruled.

On the note of the discussion towards the casino themed house I sincerely hope this happens. I don't want the event to revolve around gambling but a house I could be okay with, and if this particular house was in a sound stage or the parade building boy could it deliver.

last year i saw two huge fights, one kid started to smoke something and randomly security came out of everywhere and his friends started to fight back. Also in the middle of catacombs some idiot punched some cast member, everyone just stopped, before you knew it security was jumping all the kids and eventually dragged him out, only took 5 minutes though.

Alcohol + idiots = stupidity

You work in a bar you know that pretty well

It's really sad that such a great event has to succumb to such idiots. Why come. Just go to one of the bars in CityWalk for a fith of the price. Who's in favor of an idiot screening at the entrence to all houses?

I'd love to see an overall "haunted Vegas" type atmosphere. I think it'd be really awesome.

fear and loathing style haha

if a guy is 2 drunk, they shouldn't let him in the houses.

Just draw a straight line going into the house, if they can't follow it, they can't go in :lol:
