Actually, we knew more but more got leaked last year. We had ideas about Havoc because of the pictures taken back stage, new info on Cindi, speculation on a new PsychoScarepy existed, we figured out we were getting a mythology house and we knew that we were getting a Mardi Gras themed scarezone.

And quite frankly I don't mind the silence. It's kinda nice.

I agree, the silence is nice. I like the fact that we just know the basic jist of what the theme is going to be and that the rest is up to us to come up with.

:bang: I'm not, I want more info, it gets me more excited about the event (albeit I'm already excited as it is, it just helps the time go by faster between now an then.

I am more of a fan of a big reveal as long as it is a good event and a decent website. I admit I did not like last yea'rs website. It was a pretty dull one compared to what they were doing. I don't need tons of puzzles games and interactivity but I like one that sets the mood. 14 is a good example of that. Eerie sounds different themed pages with a few click-ables. I enjoy the sensory overload of a big reveal. It seems we are definitely getting a good theme to work with instead of a best of year so that is all I need to know to be happy about this event.

To me Carnival of Carnage's page and Bloody Mary's were some of the best they've ever done, as well as 15 with Terra Cruentus. The last couple of years though are much more vanilla.

Really? I thought 19 had a pretty good reveal pace too and interactive set up. A restoration of a theater that Universal owned that enver actually existed. Some of the history they rewrote for that was fantastic. And then you had the model theater with clickables and then some actual house pages with details. The problem there was it was a tad sloppy and slow to load/run on any computer and connection I ever tried.

Loved the sites of 19 and 18. Which was the one that had the minigames?
My favorite type of site is the one with creepy music, creepy sound effects, and hints at what's to come. I loved 20's site after they revealed all the scarezones and houses.

Prices are up for the frequent fear with express and the other multi day prices. I think it is only on the Passholder page though.

Checked all the pages and none of them are up... can we get a screengrab?

EDIT: FYI you have to click "BUY NOW" to see the full list of prices. I'm very pleased - they decided to LOWER prices for the FFP/FFPP + Express - and the Rush of Fear w/ Express is an incredibly juicy price!

Yep they really know how to devalue a ticket, it will be interesting to see how long the express lines get.

This is my main concern, but given the events past express will be an average of 30 mins before you know it.

Personally I like a bit of build up on the site. Last year just throwing it all out suddenly was very anticlimactic. 18 was the best with the large build-up to the final reveal which was awesome. This is why just putting out Thing seems really odd. While I do like information, I want some kind of cennection to the event that works with the icon. Even 20 had a better house reveal. This however will not deter my excitement for The Thing house. The original film was amazing, and I can only hope that Universal will create a tie-in house as good as Wolfman, the best house of 19 by far.

From the mind of Dr. Jimmy.

Thus based on what I have heard, my own interpretation of this, and what I actually know, I will attempt to form a speculation of the event as best I can. I of course, cannot fully explain exactly how I do know some of the things I know or at least think I know at this time:

The Icon will be a female personification of Luck, but definitely NOT Chance. Most likely she will be Lady Luck, but there will be more to her than you would likely expect.

SS 22 will be The Thing.

SS 23B may be set in WWI Hospital.

SS 23A may be Steampunk themed and possibly connected to New Yorkshire. There may be prison cells of some sort in this house.

Disaster Queue seems to be set in a television station where a vampiric "Horror Host" will hold a Midnight Movie Marathon of Holiday themed horror films. This will likely be the "tongue-in-cheek" house this year.

Jaws Queue will be the only place for chainsaws this year.

Parade Building may or may not be Spanish, but certainly NOT the Spanish Inquisition. It may in fact be the Pirate house that some are expecting.

Sprung Tent 2 may actually turn out to be the casino after all.

Sprung Tent 1 remains a great mystery to me. The only thing I can even guess at would be that it might be set in a bowling alley, but this is probably unlikely.

Hollywood Blvd. with its colorful cast could be a Chinese New Year's celebration complete with dragon.

The zone between the Animal Actors Auditorium and the Simpsons Ride will feature masked stiltwalkers.

Sting Alley will feature masked scareactors possibly hags similar to last year's Coven.

New York I do not believe to be a separate scarezone, rather that location is most likely being used just for the Rat Lady and her attendants.

Central Park, Shrek Alley and "Lucy" remain a complete mystery. But Lucy will most likely be the same area that was used for the Mirror People in 2008.

What if Lucy was actually located at the intersection of Production Central and Hollywood Blvd and a sort of choose your fate deal is set up. Wouldn't it be awesome if they had something like this, with the Icon in the middle taunting you at what choice to make and at the other side of either entrance is a group of scareactors waiting for you?

That looks fantastic actually. The only issue i foresee is assembling/disassembling that everyday, because you can't have the general daytime public walking through that all day long with no one around to keep them from messing with the hanging plastic.

What I'm really wondering is when universal will start to use fog screens through out the haunts. I just feel like they have the potential to do some really cool effects with them. I half expected them to use them in Legendary Truth last year.

Oh and on a side note theres a really funky mess of tubing an wiring coming out of the Jaws que near where the fire effect was last year.

If it really is the case that we are getting a Tortuga house complete with pirates, wenches:drool5:, and spanish gambling, this should be an interesting house HOPEFULLY with a lot of easter eggs and maybe a Jack Sparrow reference or PoTC reference too

Scenes I could imagine:

A wench auction - female scareactors barely dressed, weeping would randonly scream out and reach out at guests to AYUDAME POR FAVOR (help me please), meanwhile the auctioneer is screaming at the guests to who wants to bid and whipping the women as well.
A bar fight scene - SAs coming after you
A jail or dungeon - complete with rotting skeletons and prisoners, maybe a dog with keys

Another question, so if Jaws is the only place for chainsaws this year, does that mean we won't have a CS zone this year? And the CDT won't be there either?

God I hope so! I know people like the chain saws but I find them absolutely annoying, tiresome, and cliche.

Really? I love them, not because I get scared, because you always hear a squel coming from these tweens that show up at the event thinking they won't get scared
