I would expect the walkway bridge over Hollywood Way will be be quite elaborate, and in the manner of the parking garage walkways; covered and perhaps even having moving walkways.

This was the concept art that was released in that Orlando Sentinel article.....

It looks like the ends of the bridge are trying to be reminiscent of the Uni arch, which could end up being really tacky.

Or, you know, just walk to the other resorts. I don't think I've ever stayed at a resort because of a restaurant. I also think it's their intention to eventually keep both parks open later and have guests shopping and dining in the parks instead.

About that, I think there parks close extremely early compared to Disney's. When I went they closed at 8, while Disney closes at 2 am. What's up with that!???!!!

Animal Kindgom - closes the majority of the year at 5pm
Hollywood Studios - closes the majority of the year between 7-8pm
Epcot - Typically 9pm
Magic Kingdom - Typically 9pm

Since adding the nighttime show USF has been closing between 7-9pm, IOA is about the same 7-9pm.

If you come a busy week the times will be different but this is the year on average.

It's not too tacky like that - in fact, it adds consistency throughout the resort. I would love for the parking garages to be adorned with art deco accents just as the USF arch is.

I think this was brought up a little earlier (sorry for stealing anyone's thunder here) but the whole concept in general gave me the "Disney All-Star Resorts" feel to it. Now I understand that this is 10x what one of those resorts are, but a few of the things brought up gave off that type of feeling.

Anyone else notice that they won't be offering the all day express like the rest of the resorts do? Universal's mindset here is "If your paying less, your not getting it". Don't blame them here at all.

Where is the location exactly for the resort? Is it off of Turkey Lake I believe?

The only difference is that Universal is still providing other benefits like early park and the bowling alley...personally it reminds me of Disney's nicer hotels at a cheaper rate (can't beat that)..

Well, all Disney Values still do offer EMH. That's the main draw of staying at Value on property if you have a car. Otherwise you might as well not.

Does anyone know if this is going to be a Loews Hotel? (It seems to be referenced everywhere as "Universal's"... Usually they get the "A Loews Hotel" in there somewhere)

Yes, Cabana Bay is Loews Hotel......

Is Cabana Bay Beach Resort a Loews Hotel?
I’ve heard this question a lot and here is the answer to the best of my knowledge: Yes, Cabana Bay is a Loews Hotel in that it is operated by Loews Hotels and staffed by Loews Hotels employees. However, the answer is also no, because Cabana Bay is not being branded as a Loews Hotels. I assume this is so because it does not follow in the brand’s foot steps: it is not a luxury property, like Portofino Bay Hotel, nor does it include Loews programs such as Loews Loves Pets.
