Teebs, still awaiting an answer on a rising floor test.

Have now been told that the crane is to lower equipment in the show pool for paint removal. It sounds like the are media blasting the old coatings of before applying the new ones.

^ Almost forgot. I was also told that the LEXAN panels that form the front wall of the tank will be replaced with new LEXAN panels. :thumbs:

That would be a bizarre thing to do. It's a major component of the visual part of the show. I'd be utterly astonished if they were going to do that. :stunned::stunned::stunned:

They'd be replaced with new see through ones, just as Bob just mentioned; the salt in the water had caused them to become looking murky.

Shamu Stadium Refit

Anyone got any pics of Shamu Stadium post refit?

Nothing of note has changed, it was just resurfacing of the pool and replacement of the plexiglass panels. Pretty much looks exactly the same as it did before.

OK thanks. Wasn't sure if there were any major changes to layout or set design etc.

Nope, still the same One Ocean show. The new night show will debut in June.

Yeah, we used to love Shamu Rocks. Not sure how the new evening show will top that. But shows are something Seaworld excel at so hoping for something spectacular.
