There's been a nasty rumor going around that Gringotts won't be opening in July. For those who have been to the media event, what are your thoughts on this?

That seems like an exaggeration to me. When I rode it, it didn't stop at all. I got the full experience with all the effects and everything. The screens are really nice high def and it works really well. They just need to run a few more times and get all the kinks out to work like my ride thru consistantly.

Also it was pretty awesome that when my train pulled up for me to board the people that were on and about to get off were non other than the Phelps twins and Bill Weasley himself Domnhall Gleeson. Really brought the ride to life lol. I asked them what they thought and they all loved it.

Does anybody have a scene by scene rundown of the ride?

I could give one but you really should experience this blind without knowing what to expect. Really makes it more exciting.

I read the spoiler-free article and I have to say it sounds like more good news! The ready labelling of this as ground-breaking and "unlike any other attraction" really excites me, and is amazing considering the heights already reached by FJ. To have even gone beyond that is quite astounding.

has anybody said what the drop track feels like

Yes, Skub described it as a "small drop" yet he didn't compare it to any other theme park drop so not sure. All I could think of (having seen the actual plans) was that it is somewhat like the drop in POTC.

That said, I would have more liked the drop after the fire chamber on mummy. That is a humdinger!

Attractions described as steep but short. If it's like POTC, then I'm happy. Hoping to see a ride video soon.

Didn't HTF and others state that there was going to be a launch section in the final scene during the ride?

If you are in the back row, the drop off the teeter totter is just slightly shorter than the Mummy "death is only the beginning drop. It's about 10 feet shorter in the front row. The anticipation before the release into the drop is the best part, a bit like a Junior version of shiekra's pause.

There is a great launch coming out of the finale dome. Not as powerful as Hulk or RnRC but it's pitch black and you rotate after launching giving a really unique sensation.

Nope, it will be ready on 6/8 come hell or high (gilly) water!
Ride was running great tonight. A couple brief downtimes but no major breakdowns or evacs afaik. Many of the effects that I felt were "off" on Wed seemed to have been tweaked, A/V synch and lighting was noticeably better in certain parts. I think it will just get better between now and grand open.

Do the physical sets looks like this?

Great to hear, very encouraging! Hopefully I was wrong to doubt the other day, and the remaining time will be enough to perfect it.

The continued insight is really appreciated Seth!

The physical set going into the vault screen scene looks exactly like that, (the goblin in the background is a screen, but the rest is all real. ut with 3D glasses the lighting isn't quite that dramatic. That's one of the biggest physical sets but there are a couple others just as impressive.

Does anyone know the name of the goblin escorting you through the ride? Something with a B? It's hard to understand some of the dialogue...

The one thing IMHO the ride could really have benefited from is a "button" with this goblin at the end after Bill Weasley says goodbye. As it is, he helps save your life, then disappears before the finale. There is a long stretch between the final screen and the unload station, it would be cool to put one last moment with him there. Or at least something in the exit queue, the the worm guy in the window at MIB.
But I nitpick...
