No, they haven't been. There was a supposed leak, but nothing official

Nope. The Kong ones were revealed recently, so you may have gotten mixed up.

I'm wondering if they are in the process of repainting the tube... Some of the green looks fresh, so maybe they're washing it in preparation for new paint? The purple could certainly use a repaint as its getting faded.

I went ahead and looked at a before picture and yeah, I didn't even realize they were bare. I agree that all green looks really, really sharp.
