Bar Harbor's old aristocrats.....That's an interesting combination of bricks & wood. Generally you see the wood partnered with stucco. The stonework & brick work were certainly expensive relative to their time period.

That is what Rockefeller whimsy paid for back in the 20’s. The style is so-called French Tudor and is after the building style of 16th century Normandy. It was built as a “carriage house” for the carriage roads keeper. The exposed wood is bald cypress.
