Godzilla 2 (2019)

The next two movies are the last Godzilla film as Legendary's contract with Toho expires at the end of 2020.

As for the trailer, its not hitting the mark for me as it looks way too gritty and not really fun.

Did you not see the first one? This Godzilla shouldn’t be fun.

Or just watch the original Gojira(1954) there was nothing fun about it. Godzilla became fun in time but yet still had it’s serious ones as well(Godzilla 1985 comes to mind). I love Godzilla no matter what(minus the abomination of 1998) and this looks absolutely epic and gorgeous.

Oh my f&$@ing GOD. I have never been so damn excited. This is making me feel like a kid again. Just giddy with anticipation. This gives new meaning to the word EPIC. Wow just WOW!!!!

Oh mama. That line about us being Godzilla's pet actually made me laugh out loud. 2019 brings Capt. Marvel, Avengers Infinity Wars: Endgame, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. I sense some serious theater time in my future. You'll find me in the Dolby cinema at the AMC Theaters.

How do we know if Toho will approve of Universal including Godzilla in its fourth theme park along with his enemies? Guess we can leave out Kong but this is now a shared universe.

Thrillride - you don't need to ask the same question across multiple threads. This thread is in regards to the movie, not theme park talk.

Just saw the five minute imax trailer. Jesus Christ King Ghidorah is coming to raise hell.

My buddy worked on this film and he said story-wise, keep your expectations low, BUT the monster vs monster action is pretty badass and definitely makes up for where the story is pretty lacking.

And let's be honest, 98% of people are not seeing this movie for the story anyways. We just want to "let them fight" as Ken Watanabe would say.
