Anyway, two Spotted Eagle Rays have been born at the park, quite rare and a great success for the zoological department.

I am considering a trip here next month. Does anyone have any recommendations/advice or perhaps even a trip report?

Get there as early as you can to sign in. Take full advantage of the excellent food/beverages/alcohol that is included with admission. Do everything (including the birds). Have a great day. It's a very unique and awesome place! Well worth the price of admission, imo.
