This is now the 5th Disney film this year to make $1 billion. The only other film this year to also hit a billion was Spider-Man, which was a movie made BY Disney FOR Sony. So, really, Disney had a hand in every billion dollar film so far this year, with at least 2 more (Frozen 2 and Star Wars) most likely still to come.

A bit of a historical moment took place tonight as Toy Story became the first animated franchise to have two films win Best Animated Feature at the Oscars. Looking back, it's a pretty impressive feat when you consider how much backlash there was when this movie was first announced.
