i have actually not even the slightest idea as to what the ledgers are forming

Not all ledgers support track, there are also ledgers that support other ledgers, so seeing ledgers in a certain way doesn't always mean track will follow in that way.

The ledgers with track connections almost curve under itself almost like its attempting to invert or overbank but then by the decent of the hill it’s upright again and aiming towards the wave turn over the station. You’ll get some serious whip going over the crest of the lion hill based on Freddy’s pic. Will probably feel similar to the finale of lightning rod right before you hit the brake.
