    2022 Star Wars Movie

One of the reasons I think Solo failed was because of the narrative surrounding Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Lucasfilm brought on two exciting directors with a following. The directors didn’t get enough freedom to make their movie. They got fired and a safe director was brought in. Meanwhile...

    Peacock (Streaming Service)

Universal Creative doesn’t have the same great story. Disney Imagineering has a great origin story about Walt Disney and his renegade animators. Universal Creative was founded as a division of a multinational company looking to expand into new markets. I think it would be really hard to tell...

    Jurassic Park Expansion/New Coaster

I find that really surprising unless JPRA isn't getting the JW upgrade that Hollywood did. I personally think the land will end up being a hodgepodge of World + Park styles, but under the World name. The Discovery Center (which I really hope they update the interior) will probably keep the...

    Peacock (Streaming Service)

HBO Max (which has a killer lineup right now) is an AT&T idea, not a Time Warner idea. Time Warner would never be dumb enough to pollute the HBO brand with HBO Max. Time Warner sold the Potter rights before AT&T bought the company.

    Super Nintendo World (Osaka)

The app screenshot fascinated me. The screenshot shares a lot of the design language from Super Mario Run, Nintendo’s first mobile game. The game was built by a third-party studio in heavy collaboration with Nintendo. It really makes me wonder who will be responsible for building the Nintendo...

    Super Nintendo World (Osaka)

This sounds like Universal “fixed” everything “wrong” with wands. You have to buy one per person, not one per family. And there’s no motion, which is always a little finicky.

    More Changes Coming to CityWalk?

I honestly don’t see them doing anything live. I imagine it being Planet Hollywood, but SNL. There would be a bunch of memorabilia around and TVs showing old clips. I feel like SNL is going through this strange popularity trend right now. It seems like SNL is less relevant than ever (there’s...

    More Changes Coming to CityWalk?

If true, this is becoming a little excessive for the NBC tie-ins. Grill Brew, Fallon, Today Show Cafe, the Media Center and now SNL. The TV show tie-ins have always felt like advertising to me.

    Jurassic Park Expansion/New Coaster

A better divider is long overdue. You can hear the JP music from the Forbidden Journey line clear-as-day.

    Middle Earth coming to UOR?

I find it really hard to believe that Universal could quietly buy the LoTR rights. Something would've leaked, especially given how much attention the LoTR TV show rights got.

    Middle Earth coming to UOR?

Honestly, I don't think we'll see Disney attempt to take any outside IP at this point. I think they view theme parks as another avenue to capitalize on their IP. That makes theme parks no different from consumer products. Universal doesn't have the IP to base its parks around home-grown stuff...

    Future of Toon Lagoon

If Universal would get LoTR, I find it really hard to believe that they wouldn't bulldoze TL entirely and start fresh. I love TL's rides, but IoA has too many water rides. Right now, there are two entire lands (TL, JP) that are almost entirely dedicated to water rides. That's just too much!

    Disney Springs Discussion

That's totally fair. I guess I assumed that Planet Hollywood gets traffic and STK is a ghost town

    Disney Springs Discussion

From what I hear about STX, I’m surprised they’re still around. It’s a giant restaurant and it sounds like it’s absolutely reviled. I have no idea how they do enough business to warrant staying open.

    Disney+ (Streaming Service)

The Lizzie McGuire reboot is about Lizzie living in NYC with an adult job. Doesn’t sound like it’s trying to appeal to teenagers.

    Disney+ (Streaming Service)

If the Imagineering Story ends up being a giant hit, I’m assuming Disney will pay to get early access to the Pixar Story (since it’s the same creators)

    Disney+ (Streaming Service)

Waking Sleeping Beauty is a fantastic documentary about Disney Animation. Great companion to the Pixar Story (which is on Netflix, but will probably hit Disney+ eventually)

M&Ms Moving From Florida Mall to Disney Springs in 2020

According to the MMs World website, the Florida Mall store is 16k sq ft, Vegas is 28k sq ft, and London is 35k sq ft. Looks like the current MMs World in Orlando is the smallest in the chain. I don’t see that changing.

M&Ms Moving From Florida Mall to Disney Springs in 2020

I’m assuming they’ll demolish the building and build a brand-new storefront. It feels too small to be a proper MM&s store

    More Changes Coming to CityWalk?

The whole chain is almost gone sadly. I think Seattle and Vegas are the only two remaining. I really miss the Michigan location. Mainstay of my childhood.
