    That was fast.

    New Project for Dinoland?

Sounds like the beginnings of a Joe Rhode nightmare. Is it really so hard to revitalize Dinoland?

Revenge of the Mummy Refurbishment (Late 2022)

I rode today. Posted wait was 50 minutes, but was really closer to 25. I got chills up my spine as we entered the treasure room... it's so great having the best ride at USF back! As for the enhancements: the projections are infinitely better now. They no longer feel like blurry relics from...

    Magic Kingdom (General Discussion)

Fair enough. I like most of those attractions, but I think everything in between is where the park loses me.

    Magic Kingdom (General Discussion)

I had the misfortune of going to this park on a Saturday morning recently. What a miserable, sticky experience. I think Magic Kingdom on a hot summer day should be considered for capital punishment. If you're not packed like a sardine in an overly-long line, you're probably getting cooked on...

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

I abhor the new films, but I absolutely love this land. Hate to break it to some of you, but Disney aren't the only ones trying to milk every cent out of you. It's just the nature of this particular industry. I struggle to see how lands such as Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley should be given a pass...

Skull Island: Reign of Kong - General Discussion

I recently had an interesting experience riding this with a friend from out of town. We rode at night, right before closing. The 'bus' was packed to the brim, which is rare in my experience with the ride thus far. Luckily, we got seated in the sweet spot (middle of the row -- no screen edges...

Revenge of the Mummy Refurbishment (Late 2022)

This ride is the heart and soul of USF (yes, even more than E.T.). It's a rather dull park without it, and I'm so relieved it's almost back, as well as improved. Kick-ass atmosphere from queue to unload, and a thrilling ride that delivers everything you won't find at WDW. To me, it's still the...

KidZone Replacement Rumors & Speculation (Pt 2)

Kung Fu Panda: Land of Awesomeness Pros: - Indoors (why has this not happened yet?) - Unique to Orlando - Preserves the spirit of KidZone - Based on a relevant IP with global appeal - Helps establish thematic consistency with HTTYD at Epic Universe (you now have major DreamWorks Animation-based...

    Universal's Epic Universe Construction Thread

Hobbiton would be a huge challenge due to difficulties in maintaining sight lines, as well just being a rather benign setting with scarce potential for attractions. Personally, I think LOTR at any theme park is a long shot, but if a location from the films were to be built, it would have to be...

Thank you, unknown moderator, for deleting my thread

I wasted 45 minutes trying to organize my thoughts and present what I thought was an interesting idea directly related to Universal Studios Florida. Now, it was supposedly merged into a thread titled 'The Future of Kidzone', which doesn't even appear to exist anymore. I can't even find a copy of...

    Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

No lie, some of that 'acting' had me cringing so hard that I looked like this.

    Universal Studios Beijing (Now Open)

I watched a few POVs from the park. Some thoughts: First, Jurassic World Adventure looks like a spiritual successor to the criminally overlooked Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom. This is a very good thing. That Indominus chase through the jungle already makes the revamped finale at USH's Jurassic...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (DHS)

I agree, but the drop is just 5% of the ride, and not all that intense (IMO). I like Spider-Man’s ride vehicle because it’s always engaged in intense motion, twisting and tilting in exciting and unexpected ways while zipping through show scenes at high speed. ROTR felt tame by comparison, but I...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (DHS)

Slightly, but not as much as the fact that I was forced to wait until 2pm to actually enter the attraction (I was in Group 46). For further context, I arrived at the park at 5:15am... I guess I was hoping for a more visceral on-ride experience after nine hours of buildup — at least something...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (DHS)

I rode it yesterday. The actual ride portion was pretty underwhelming; the trackless ride system, while the most logical choice for this attraction, is not very thrilling. However, I won’t contend with the idea that this is the most immersive theme park experience ever made... 8/10

Universal's Epic Universe General News & Discussion

I think making Fantastic Beasts the subject of an entire land is a mistake. That IP is already dwindling in relevance (which was arguably minuscule to begin with). I think it would be smarter to create a new land that carries the ‘Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ name ala Hogsmeade and Diagon...
