Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

I don't think it would be smart to tie a ride to one instance of a franchise especially one that would be very difficult to introduce to future audiences. I keep my Wii around specifically to play those games as I don't see a way for them to be ported forward since the remote was so integral.

The Bourne Stuntacular - General Discussion

I wouldn't want my theme park signage to take cues from McDonald's. Seems like they could have been a bit more creative here. Maybe it's the perspective it just doesn't look well thought out.

The Bourne Stuntacular - General Discussion

That area looks strange, why put a vertical sign with the name right below a horizontal sign with the same name and font?

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

I cant see UC putting in two thrill rides where you ride a dragon. Im assuming there will be some sort of "coaster" that simulates you flying through various physical sets augmented with screens. I couldnt see them then adding a 100% screen based simulator similar to FoP.

Fast & Furious: Supercharged - General Discussion

The largest issue is that NOBODY who gets in line for this ride expects to end up on a party bus. The general premise of the ride is broken and its flabbergasting how that ever got approved. It would be as if Universal opened the Mario Kart ride and the ride system was you as a goomba walking...

Fast & Furious: Supercharged - General Discussion

I usually don't post here, I just lurk for park updates but I had to post the other day to express how awful I felt about this experience. There I was on a day off from work at a theme park and me and my group spent a considerable amount of time talking about that ride instead of the other...

Fast & Furious: Supercharged - General Discussion

Just left universal yesterday. This ride was so bad we came to the conclusion they must have got it for free in a 2 for 1 with Kong. There are some rides I just don't like but this one has the distinction of me feeling like they should take the financial loss and just bulldoze this crap and...

Halloween Horror Nights 29 General Discussion

Could someone give me an estimate on how long it would take to get into the park if we arrived at 4:30 pm and did not do the 25 dollar early entry? Are we looking at an hour to clear the mass of people at the turnstiles?

Universal's Epic Universe General News & Discussion

Oh God no. I'm on vacation I don't want to read this. Where is the 5S plan, are layered audits in place, when is the VSM scheduled? ?

General Discussion - Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

The world's largest dog is still smaller than an elephant. When you build a coaster inside, as the previous poster stated, you give up certain features such as long straightaways.

General Discussion - Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

On FJ its more of a vertical load where you stand and squat to get in the vehicle. You aren't getting into a seated vehicle you have to squeeze into. That's a huge difference when it comes to ease of load.

General Discussion - Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

If smooth running of this ride requires quick identification and removal and large guests and other that may have trouble being seated then I don't see it ever running at its theoretical capacity. The audience riding these rides at Universal and Disney tend to be older and larger than at pure...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

I don't think there has been a ride built at Disney or Universal that someone said DIDN'T need AAs. A coaster where you are zooming past everything is least likely to need them.

The Future of Lost Continent (Poseidon Fury closing May 9)

I've always wondered about how popular Broadway type shows would be as a feature in a theme park. Those shows are usually 2 plus hours with an intermission. Would people be willing to give up that much ride time to watch a show? I could imagine a scenario where it would be cheaper to see the...
