Leaks are lame, they add to the frustration, but frankly I'm not bothered about them quite as much as an official social media page-- where one would EXPECT helpful information for newcomers who may be interested in the event-- being filled with tweets like "plz stop sliding into my dms", cutesy...
Between the extreme unprofessionalism behind the official HHN Twitter and these constant leaks, I'm starting to feel awful jaded towards the people in charge of things. It's very sloppy and makes the event look bad imo
Not glad to hear that other people are playing the waiting game, but I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. Makes sense, thank you! I definitely agree announcements will come when they come, I was just wondering as all aspects of the event seemed to be held back. Appreciate the reply!
Aaaanyway...
I don't want to turn this into a covid discussion but is there any particular reason we think Universal is delaying things? obviously the announcements havent been marching along like normal, and I auditioned and have yet to hear back. it's been a couple weeks. maybe that just means...
I could go on an entire rant about the size discrimination that goes on particularly for female performers. Women (honestly, PEOPLE in general, but the inherent misogyny in Horror and theme park entertainment casting hurts women worst of all) of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, orientations, etc...
Oh okay, thanks! I figured as much, I'm just confused where everyone is seeing it and talking like it's common knowledge, I guess! Unless all traces of it have been scrubbed from the internet :bolt:
I have yet to hear back. I've seen someone on twitter who did an external audition say she got accepted, so. Playing the waiting game still.
EDIT: I think I misinterpreted her tweet and she was talking about something else. Have yet to see anyone say they got accepted from external auditions.
I've been wondering this too, I actually reached out to them through their contact us link and the only information they gave me was to make an audition profile (which I already had), select my relevant skills (which I had already done), and IF they do open auditions, you'll get notified through...
Seeing all this accounts of scareactors slacking is soooo disappointing because I auditioned for both Orlando and Hollywood this year and got the reject. I would have KILLED to be a scareactor, and was heartbroken when it didn’t work out, so seeing ungrateful people who DID get cast is :x::curse:
I saw that message too. Got a little frustrated that we're hearing about more auditions before I even got a response, lol.... It is what it is, I guess. Orlando had those same qualifications for their lookalike casting call, so it's definitely a shared property...
Have people been hearing back yet? I got my golden ticket but I still haven’t heard back and Thursday will mark 3 weeks since I auditioned :/ losing hope a bit
i just finished bingeing all of stranger things 3. super disappointed that hollywood is only getting a scene of season 3 because i honestly think it has more potential as a maze than season 2..... i'm hoping that just because they have 2 & 3 this year it doesn't necessarily mean that we wont get...
Makes sense! I don’t believe Sam would have talked, and I don’t know if the Purge characters talked, but where I can see issues with the rights and IP characters like I mentioned with the “face characters”, especially ones that they work so hard to find lookalikes for. (I.e. the ST kids and...
Do they normally have IP characters in character dining? A UCM would make sense, but I feel like it would be difficult to get the rights to have an interactive IP character in a dining environment? I would love to see a Stranger Things character, but I feel like that would be unlikely to happen...
