Halloween Horror Nights 29 General Discussion

Whatever dude. I like quite a few of the people on here and enjoy the discussions, but quite frankly you're actions are pretty crummy a lot of the time. I mean a couple of weeks ago you literally shut down an HHN speculation thread for people speculating about HHN. Insane. So I'm out. Enjoy...

1-When I replied to whoever it was, I had not seen your post. 2-NOBODY said "move on" through the duration of the Us "opinion" discussion until you posted a generic "when we say move on..." 3-I wasn't hammering my Us "opinion" - I was responding to the Us house and how I might see it but might...

Cool - so just deleting my posts in which I responded to someone with how I attack the houses on HHN in a reply to him mentioning me? Wow. That was a totally benign post as well. Pretty sad imo.

I'll be pretty pissed if there's not a cotton candy smell emanating from the KKfOS area. Especially since it will kind of sit by itself and not really next to any other houses.

Ah - so the last week or two of October? I'll probably miss that then. I don't do HHN after about the 10th of October - just gets monumentally crowded at that point. Though the weather is better in October, I much prefer the vastly sparse crowds of the Wednesdays and Thursdays in September...

Wait, what surprise SZ? You mean there's something else besides RZ, Zombieland, Vikings, Anarch-Aide, and Plastic Surgery?

Maybe if they agree to put a small Hostess logo on one of their ad posters or something? As long as there's no bad blood, there's a deal that can be done. Plus, the overturned truck is, in fact, free advertising for Hostess for two months. You could even work Hostess into some of the food...

Halloween Horror Nights 29 General Discussion

Yeah - an overturned Hostess truck AND the Rules projected on the street and buildings. That's what I need out of the Zombieland SZ. I'm very excited for Ghostbusters too - one of my favorite films growing up. I like that (it seems) they are confining it to the original film. I do hope they...

Halloween Horror Nights 29 General Discussion

Well, my point was that I'm an old dude like him. So my contention is that age of viewer has no basis on these 3 particular movies because they are recent. Older movies I can see being viewed differently amongst people of different age groups - such as movies that were more "cutting edge" when...

I doubt age has anything to do with it as I'm likely close in age to you (pushing 50). I thought IT was just okay. Loved Hereditary. Liked It Follows. All tastes certainly are different, but age probably isn't a factor in any of those 3 since they are all recent.

I mean, they could post that poll in January and you'd basically get the same response. Personally, I think they're just trolling people with that poll. But who knows. If there's an announcement, then great. If not, then my day doesn't get a single bit worse. I'm just interested in learning...

See? Exactly. Opinions. I was very lukewarm on the VVitch. Some of those same friends I mentioned earlier swear by that movie and have the same opinion as you (that it rivals Hereditary). It just didn't hit the mark for me whereas I thought Midsommar was pretty amazing. Did you ever see...

Halloween Horror Nights 29 General Discussion

Yeah, the movies are so different. Really the only thing similar is that some of the score sounds kind of similar at times, but only in certain parts. I recommend it - especially if you've ever taken acid or mushrooms because his camerawork and editing to capture/replicate that experience is...

I really liked Midsommar. To me, Ari Aster is BY FAR the best horror director out there right now. That being said, I think Hereditary was better. The last 20 minutes of Midsommar was a slight letdown compared to the amazing set-up, whereas Hereditary absolutely nailed the finale for me. Be...

Yep. Everyone's got their own taste. Everyone looks for and sees different things in film. Everyone has some things that matter and some things that don't when evaluating film. There are people out there who think Transformers: Age of Extinction is a good film. So there ya go. Hereditary...

Well, on Rotten Tomatoes, while it holds a massive 94% critic score, it only holds a 62% audience score. Again, opinions are opinions. But I really think you're overestimating what the GP thought of the film. There are plenty of people who love it. But there are plenty of people who did not...

It would be very close between Creepshow and Gremlins for me. I tend to think, gun to my head, I would barely lean Creepshow. But, man, Gremlins has some really great set pieces to walk through with the bar, the movie theater, and the store right off the bat. I love both movies. Creepshow...

I can only answer FOR ME. So, FOR ME, I thought the movie was dumb and terrible. I've seen 40 movies this year, and it's the second worst movie I've seen this year (my opinion, not open for debate). So, to base a house on a movie I thought was terrible and not the slightest bit scary is a...
