    IOA Lighthouse

Years ago, an episode of Fear Factor was filmed at Universal Orlando that involved participants ziplining down from the lighthouse over to the lagoon in front of Hard Rock Cafe. I couldn't find clips, screenshots, or anything from it, but I'm pretty certain this is the episode -...

    Stitch Replacement Ideas

People are more inclined to complain than they are to compliment though. I've worked at a seasonal amusement for over three years now, and the majority of park-related conversations I've had with guests are typically about an attraction, food stand, employee, or anything else that did not meet...

    Stitch Replacement Ideas

"Pixar Pals Meet-and-Greet", sounds good ;) (Although, in all honesty, meet-and-greets often prove some of the most memorable moments for vacationers, plus they can prove a great booster for the Photo Pass system). What's your source for this?

    The Forbidden Forest?

I don't really think it'd be much of a second Harry Potter land as it'd be an expansion of the pre-existing one. Besides, you may think it'd be too much Potter, but would a standard visitor? If anything, it'd just boost merchandise / food sales even farther.

    Springfield Expansion

People who obnoxiously correct others who call things "Harry Potter Land" or "The Giant Golf Ball" are worse than the people using the wrong names. Just saying. Regarding Simpsons, I'm really excited for this project and cannot wait for its official announcement. I hope Universal does something...

    The Forbidden Forest?

I feel like Forbidden Forest could actually work in place of The Lost Continent. I don't know exact geography, but I'd imagine Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade aren't too far apart. And in terms of attractions, I think simple animal encounters would be a thrill in itself - imagine encountering...

    Stitch Replacement Ideas

^Stitch's Great Escape not popular? Here's a picture from my trip over the summer: Alright, I know that queue length does not determine a ride's popularity, plus summer crowds, blah blah blah. However, to many first time guests, Stitch's Great Escape is still a new experience and, therefore...

    Springfield Expansion

I know there's not much excitement for the spinner here, but as the uncle to a 39" toddler, I'm very excited for it. Assuming it'll be like Dumbo, then it'll be a new ride at USF that little children can ride (and there is a large lack of them at the resort in general, especially when compared...

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

I understand a lot of people think it's an eyesore, but I appreciate the fact that's it one of the only non-box-shaped structures in the park. Beyond that, I think it's a phenomenal ride - it looks cool, it's fun, and the non-inverting loop is an incredible ride element. Yeah, it can ride a bit...

Transformers: The Ride - Summer 2013

I had a dream last night that the construction was complete, but everybody was surprised to discover that the addition was not Transformers. Instead, it was a Scooby-Doo dark ride, similar to all the other Sally Dark Rides ones with a few Universal touches (like, at one point, it took a photo of...

    Halloween Horror Nights 22 Discussion

I personally thought 2009's The Usher was worse- he wasn't the least bit frightening nor creepy. At least Lady Luck appeared more intimidating in the advertisements.

    Halloween Horror Nights 22 Discussion

You get what you pay for. If you pay for an elite experience in a special haunted house, then you'll get an elite experience in a special haunted house. Simple as that. If Universal was to do an upcharge haunted house, they'd make a killing in terms of profit. Anybody denying this needs to...

    Actually, it's 95° :P

    "Old School" Universal Orlando

Story-wise, a generic wooden roller coaster tossed into the area would not make sense. But if it was given a back-story of sorts and the chaotic twist of track was part of something "going wrong" in the story, I think it could work. I never considered that. Does Gwazi still run rough with...

    "Old School" Universal Orlando

I don't understand the hating on the wooden roller coasters- when done properly, they can be exhilarating rides with great capacity, and I can see one fitting into the Jurassic Park section beautifully. I wasn't too big a fan of Gwazi when I last rode it in 2007, but I'd love to have a dueling...

    Dragons Not Dueling?

I'm curious if, now that a major feature of the ride has been removed, Universal will perhaps take the opportunity to add something (like extra themeing) in its place? Before the coaster underwent its transformation for Potter, there were rumors of supports themed like trees, tunnels added to...

    Dragons Not Dueling?

The queue time for a ride is not a good way to tell how popular or successful it is. I mean, following that logic, Pteranodon Flyers would constantly be the most popular ride in the park :P Regarding the no-more-dueling, I am extremely disappointed by this. I adored the dueling aspect when...

    The Hat Coming Down

^For a first time visitor, I don't think there's any difference- a medieval castle is just as out-of-place in one park as a giant hat is in another. And, in all honesty, neither truly matters- both have a Disney touch to them and add to the "magic".
