    Disney's Animal Kingdom (General Discussion)

I look at it this way: the park needs more to do. Specifically more rides. Which version of Animal Kingdom is better? A. AK with a replaced Dinoland and no net new attractions. B. AK with Dinoland and a new land on the expansion plot adjacent to Kali. I vote B.

    Disney's Animal Kingdom (General Discussion)

If you specifically mean Dino-Rama, maybe. But not the entire land. Dinosaur is great, and the park will be weaker without it (and without any dinosaurs represented).

    Disney's Hollywood Studios (General Discussion)

Whatever might be coming to Hollywood Studios, I think the park would benefit more from two D/C-ticket attractions than a single E. And preferably very high capacity.

    Disney's Animal Kingdom (General Discussion)

The staging area they're building is actually where Disney should be focused on putting new things. But nah, more replacements!

    Disneyland Resort

Wow, so for a period of time, there will be no rides open on that side of the park between Pirates and Rise.

DreamWorks Land coming to USF (2024)

That's certainly true, but this is a Uni-centric thread, so I confined my commentary to that. I would be happy to discuss how I think Disney should be responding to this issue elsewhere!

DreamWorks Land coming to USF (2024)

My point is that modern Universal does not have many additional BIG live action franchises to tap for theme park usage, so they're leaning more on animation, game, and licensed IP. I would again point out that I've been pounding the table for a SLOP-esque family dark ride for years at this...

Future of Jurassic Park River Adventure

Feels like this has been the case for quite a while.

DreamWorks Land coming to USF (2024)

It makes logical sense. But at the same time, I'd be lying if I said I didn't sense that the IP composition has started to skew a little young, which I think has happened for two reasons: 1. Universal's recent live action film output -- while clearly filled with successful offerings --...

Skull Island: Reign of Kong - General Discussion

That's such a bummer to read. I appreciate @Alicia using her platform to put that out there, though. Folks need to (respectfully) voice their disappointment where they can.

    The Acolyte (Disney+)

I'm fascinated to see how this show unfolds, because despite being in a "new" time period for live action STAR WARS, they are kind of boxed in by the fact that the Sith cannot be involved (or if they are, the Jedi can never discover that fact), because by THE PHANTOM MENACE, the Jedi still think...

    "Old School" Universal Orlando

Some pretty cool stuff in this video from 1997: There's an extended look at the original entrance formation while CityWalk and the parking garages are being built. Also some time spent in the IOA Preview Center, which shows how incredible elaborate and in-depth the displays inside were.

    General Movies & TV Thread

I believe WONKA eventually crossed $200m domestic, as well. But in any case, it's been a rough several months for the box office.

    Dark Universe (Epic Universe)

Just to clarify, THE BRIDE! is not a Universal film, it's Warner Bros., so it's not connected to the Universal Classic Monsters.

Roughly how long was the cut you saw? Trying to gauge how much of the novel might have been left out!

    New WDW Ticket Offers

I visited Orlando in mid-September in 2018. And as a result of that experience, I will never go back outside of late fall/winter.
