I don't know what those are but I don't think they are trim brakes. The spine on that section of track is not low enough for calipers to be placed there. And the magnetic brakes don't look like that. It's something else.
E-Stopping is a big deal but as long as you can justify that the safety of the ride/guests/team members was compromised then you're ok. That's how it generally is at Universal at least...
^ I heard they were having some issue with the matrix system. The matrix allows them to tell the system which dome in a carousel they don't want to use and the system will shine a light on the cars in load that would end up going to that dome so the loaders won't load it.
I gather that there...
Restricted areas are generally just ride track. Catwalks are not off limits as long as they are isolated from the ride track/show animation. So being up on catwalks while the ride is in operation is no big deal at all.
Manual can mean many things. In general, the ride will run itself unless...

The RV's on Rockit engage a busbar as they enter the station, the bus bar being very similar to the dark rides. The busbar runs the entire length of the station. It is used to activate the compressors on the car to unlock restraints and verify restraints are locked. It is also used to carry the...
They look like sprinkler head covers. The cover is attached to the sprinkler head. When it drops down it will allow the sprinkler to douse the room.
Hopefully it's never needed.
