Don't know how to link Facebook posts, but Midway Mayhem have just put up a video of the Volcano Bay buses testing around the tram road.

@mickeyxtreme on Twitter has some new aerials. New Aerials from Volcano Bay Water Park at Universal Orlando Couple weeks since the last big update and I have made a few major observations. Protective frame around water coaster through the volcano has been removed which suggests no more...

Agreed but not as bad as delaying a grand opening and god knows how many refunds. I'm not saying its definitely the case but they seem to be doing far too much landscaping for serious amounts of steel and rock work still to go up.

Whilst I agree that this may have been exactly what these footers are for, it really would not surprise me if this extra structure and steel were scrapped from the final volcano, given the timescale left until grand opening.

This was the easiest way I could do this. On the left is picture from just 3 weeks ago. Really are pumping overtime into this!!!!

Bottom tweet looks like South lazy river had final coating and again plenty of landscaping. Plenty more scaffolding down. Scaffolding coming down from drop level/waterfall. Hopefully we see some more testing of water from Krakatau again soon. The progress in these overall aerials is...

Bioreconstruct is currently posting some great aerials on Twitter. Landscaping seems to have had a rocket up the ass as significant amount has been done over the last couple of days.

I remember seeing pictures with the holes in the saucers earlier on during construction, but the latest images seem to show they are not there. Cuts?

Looking at the latest aerial pictures, I've given up hope of any sort of general softs before May 25th (i return to the UK on May 20th). Still such a fascinating construction site, but to see this thing being fully operational in 15 weeks, I can't quite fathom at the moment.

Universal will have a plan for their soft openings, however I did a bit of digging last night as to what other parks have done in the past. Aquatica opened on april 8th, and soft opened a good 5 weeks before in March 1st. IOA Grand Opening was May 28th and softs started at the end of March...

That's pretty much what I will have to hope for. There is almost guaranteed to be soft openings/technical rehearsals but its whether non-hotel guests etc get in on them. I may plead to Universal's better nature as my parents are pass holders but no interest whatsoever in water parks....

Loads more scaffolding down on that Volcano. Might get a good view of that bad boy by the end of the month!

Volcano Bay Construction & Preview Discussion

Ok so I have a question. It looks like I may miss out on going to this as I come back to the UK on May 20th. However, my parents have AP's but they have interest in water parks and are not interested in going to any AP preview that may or not be happening. IF previews were happening when I am...

A lot of UK people will have already booked for next year (including myself which is why I hope its open before May 19th when I come home), especially with the pound falling in value against the dollar. May even see a decline in UK tourist over the next few years with the pound seemingly set to...

Pretty sure from Scott's picture, more of the water coaster seems to have been installed as it now looks to fully loop out and back into the Volcano. Also much more of the volcano on the pool facing side seems t have been rendered.
