Rode this a bunch over the past week. Truly the best coaster I’ve ever been on. Crowds were fairly light but I’m glad I had no issues whatsoever getting on and was able to get multiple rides in.
After being shut down in August 2019 for a week, I was able to get on 3 times this week. Getting there at park open is the key. Velocicoaster also helps split up crowds. (Had no issue getting on that either). 2 great rides! I might say Hagrids is the better overall ride. Surprised how much fun it is
I’m coming down in 2 weeks so this is all just a bummer that this is happening. I won’t get into the political aspect of everything, it’s all just very disappointing and frustrating.
The “encouragement” of masks for guests, to me seems like a case of Universal not wanting unhappy, belligerent...
Crossing my fingers the wait times don’t get out of control. I couldn’t even get on Hagrids in 2019 when I was down for a week. I’ll be back down this summer. I’m gonna hold out hope for Express as well.
Forgive me if this has been answered before but is there any word on if this will have Express? I wasn’t able to get on Hagrids 2 years ago due to the lines and delayed openings, so I’m hoping there’s not a similar situation here when I make my way down later in the summer
I think they should keep as is and if anything, find ways to upgrade it. Maybe a new TRex AA. Not that there’s anything wrong with the current one, but we’ve seen how AAs have evolved into something even more impressive (Kong).
The Velocicoaster will give the JW aesthetic while River Adventure...
Bittersweet I won’t be making my way down this year. I’ve been following on a daily basis seeing what’s going on in the parks. I can’t imagine the parks being a fun experience right now. If I was local, I could see myself hanging out at CityWalk for the night. But the rapid rise in cases would...
Well, I will not get political here (try not to at least), out of respect to the site and the mods.
Very mixed feelings here. Upset more than anything. Splash Mountain is my favorite ride. It has been since I was a kid. I went to Disney/Universal every year for my pre-teen/teen years. As I got...
Splash Mountain is my favorite ride so I won’t go on a long tangent about why I wouldn’t want this to happen. I’m just gonna echo what one of the previous posts said about Dumbo, Peter Pan etc. You can even go back to some of the early Mickey Mouse cartoons and see some VERY questionable stuff...
I came here to ask something similar. My question is, would any of you guys who are Florida residents travel to the parks from out of state under these circumstances? I come every year from NY. I’ve been holding hope things are better by later in the summer (although I just broke my foot so the...
I got the mug. Might not be able to make the trip down this year, so my morning coffee will be a nice reminder of my favorite place. Might grab the shot glass too in due time
The aesthetic of MSHI is a polarizing one. When I’m there, I feel like a time machine took me back to the 90s. I personally love it. Nothing like exiting Doom and hearing the arcade sounds and the smell of mediocre pizza to make you feel like you should be at a birthday party.
I’ve been...
Question for you guys who live locally and are APs. Are you guys gonna have reservations about going to the park when it opens right away? Or are you going to wait until next year when (hopefully) things get back to some kind of normalcy?
Looking at these guidelines on the survey, I can’t...
Hate to steer this conversation away from Galaxy's Edge, but is this normal for early September crowd wise? I know the hurricane had to have played a part in these low crowd levels. Seems crazy that Smugglers Run is having 35-40 minute waits one week after opening.
I think when I first heard about the build your lightsaber thing, I just brushed it off and said “200 dollars, Disney is crazy”. Then I fell down a rabbit hole of watching Galaxys Edge videos last night and now I’m like “SOLD!”. Curse you Disney!
Dudley is in such an embarrassing state. When I was on earlier this month, animatronics are missing, some not working. It’s in desperate need of a paint job.
I hadn’t been following this thread because I assumed the craziness would die down by now. I come down in August every year and this was the rainiest I’ve seen it in quite some time. The last few years it’s been very minimal. Steady rain everyday last week.
Going back to a few posts ago, sure...
