Wizarding World - Diagon Alley Discussion (Opens 2014)

I guess I'm just a cynic. Was never really all that big on IOA overall as compared to USF, although I've always loved Spidey and Hulk. There's no emotional connection for me to any of the sections, so therefore no biggie if anything goes. I've always admired the rich theming at IOA, but they...

    Cheetah Hunt

I've seen the cheetahs hang out by the window panels and give people some pretty good photo ops, but I don't bring my good camera because I don't want to risk breaking it or have the bother of putting it in a locker. They do spend most of their time hiding in the shade though. Haven't seen them...

Definitely was open today. Hubby rode it (I was stuck at home working).

Wizarding World - Diagon Alley Discussion (Opens 2014)

There's not much I'd hate to lose at IOA for more Potter. Toon Lagoon is full of outdated characters and I don't give a rat's butt about water rides; too bad its not close enough to be razed for WWII. Just leave Marvel with Spidey and Hulk, get rid of anything else, and I'll be content.

Remember the plants that had in the queue originally? Did those even last a full month?

    Cheetah Hunt

Okay, what the heck, was it running slow on Media Day or what? Finally rode it again yesterday (was posted at 25 minutes around dinner time; they raised the posted time but the line was still the same so we rode it three times in quick succession, then two more night rides after SheiKra, include...

Exactly: fun and entertaining. It's my favorite Central FL coaster but that doesn't put it my top overall picks, which are coasters like Magnum XL, Sheikra, Montu, Manta, Texas Giant, and Timber Wolf (if they didn't ruin it after the accident...it's been ages since I rode it). But it's worth...

    Cheetah Hunt

I'm all about smooth now that I'm getting older. That's why I can't do Kumba and do Gwazi only sparingly. Cheetah Hunt will never have a place in my top list of coasters, but I will still do some marathoning on it because it's fun. A coaster doesn't have to be crazy exciting to be enjoyable...

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

Okay, maybe I'm crazy, but I thought about my favorite Orlando roller coaster and decided that it's actually the Rockit. Here are my reasons: http://shar.es/He59K Mind you, it's not my favorite Central Florida coaster; that honor goes to SheiKra, with Montu a close second (as much as I love...

It really seems to be getting more reliable. We got out there around 10 a.m. this morning. We rode SheiKra 12 times and every time I spotted Cheetah Hunt running. It was 120 mins. early on but went down to 60 in the early afternoon. We got in line, but it broke down almost immediately. We gave...

Major bummer about the keys. Rockit is the worst about stealing things out of pockets, but I make sure to have cargo pockets that seal really well on the Busch Coasters or leave my stuff in a locker. I like to have my phone with me when I can so I can tweet if something exciting happens like...

Yep, Sept. for me too. Passholder event is way too unpredictable on whether it will even be open, not to mention Twitter reports of people getting in with Fun Cards (sure, make the crowd even bigger and spit in the eye of those who pay the big bucks). Wonder if Cheetah Hunt had anything to do...

    Rhino Rally Expansion

I never rode Rhino Rally before the accident, but I find it totally lame now that the water part is gone. Maybe people don't notice if they've never been on it before, but now it's like "eh." Never even has a line anymore. They need to so SOMETHING...I don't know what, but anything is better...

Well, Facebook sounds like it was a cluster this morning so plans to go tomorrow morning are cancelled. Sigh. Not surprised, but it's what I was afraid of.

We're going to throw caution to the wind and just take a chance Sun. morning. I won't get too cranky because I'll still be half asleep. I'll post how it goes.

    Cheetah Hunt

I'm concerned about the trend of not being open at park opening time in the mornings. I want to go for the passholder extra hour a few Sundays, but it's an hour's drive from Orlando so I'd be pretty pissed to show up and not get any ride time.

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

The irony is that, with all the delays that happened anyway, they might just as well have waited for B&M as it wouldn't have opened that much later. Didn't B&M have someone else do the Hulk launch for the same type of reason, i.e. not doing that kind of launch? The only time they did something...

I likee the torches in the concept art. Too bad that didn't make it to the real thing.

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

I was being a little tongue in cheek with my carnival post, although Rockit does indeed remind me of the Tobaggan and I do love the lift. It cracks me up to ride next to a stranger via the singles line because people often put up their hands as we leave the station when I do, but 90 percent of...
