I went - it took about two hours, we walked through the queue four times and that was it. There were two props under wraps in the queue. We really didn't see anything interesting.
Gonna chime in with a thought I had. With the "hub" being free access and admission needed only for the lands, do think they might implement a 1/2/3/4 park admission system? So the guest would have access to only the areas they were interested in/could afford.
It's all a matter of $$. If they're not getting the occupancy they want they'll open it up, but don't count on it. I just got Cabana Bay for Sept 15th-17th for $144 a night.
OK the Islands preview center took over the space when the "Star Trek Video Adventure" attraction/shop closed up. This space is now the first part of the Mummy queue. You could pick up a passport at the entrance and each Island's room had a stamper machine to stamp your passport. I wish I still...
The preview center is now located in the "Darkroom" on Hollywood Blvd. The team members don't wear white polos anymore... they wear shirts with "preview center" written on them.
