    Dueling Dragons/ Dragon Challenge

Very cool. I can't give any concrete answers but they were still selling DD merch pretty similar to that shirt right up to 2009. The Universal logo in yours looks pretty old so maybe 1999-2003 ish? For rarity I'd say probably pretty rare now; for value probably not a lot! I still have this at...

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

The concept has the whimsy / sci-fi vibes of Aquatopia. Love it.

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

The video also added to a feeling which I've had for a while, which is that I'm sceptical about how visible the whole fake track thing will be from on the ride (and yes I realise the NL camera is fairly arbitrary, but still). Especially for the second row. Might be an effect which is more...

    Blue Sky Villains land

Posting this here for the benefit of people who may not have come across the most insane attraction in Disney history: I truly wish I'd been able to experience this before it closed. But at the same time, thinking about this again makes me think the chance of something like it being built by...

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

I don't think the conversation should necessarily be about Disney-like rides (and perhaps my original label of Pirates-style was lazy and imprecise in this respect). I'm certainly not yearning for a nostalgic ride that looks like it was built decades ago. But I think rides like Pirates stand for...

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

The one thing I really wish Epic Universe (or UOR as a whole) had in the lineup is a Pirates-style boat dark ride. If Monsters ever ended up with that, it'd be an incredible land. I have high hopes that the area will feel like Lost Continent -- proper distinctive 'theme park' design rather than...

    Universal's Epic Universe Construction Thread

The people in this photo give a great sense of the scale for this land. They also make me think that -- as much as there's been talk of the coaster taking over the 'plaza' -- I've never been convinced that the central area of this land was a 'plaza' as such anyway. Looked on the plans much more...

Those are great names! Hoping this does mean we’re getting a Port-of-Entry-in-space vibe for the hub. Might look really amazing.

Walt Disney World Tech News & Discussion- Magic Bands, Genie+, and more

As someone who always hated the plan-months-in-advance logic of FP+, a return to on-the-day choice makes me like this system a lot. Sounds like the $15 Genie+ with one selection at a time throughout the day will basically work the same way the old original Fastpass did. Honestly, for that price...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster - General Discussion

Slowly working my way through the photos and videos whilst feeling very jealous of everyone, but I'm so glad to see the incredible reactions to this. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but this just screams 'Islands of Adventure' to me. Something about the scale, the kinetic energy...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Love it. Have Universal ever done this No Limits / CGI-style trailer before? Seems unlike them.

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

The wall is a smart move. JP atmosphere in the park has always been defined by winding pathways and an all-encompassing tunnel/canopy effect from the trees, which obscures sightlines and contributes to the feeling of being very far from anywhere else (apart from the FJ building lol). With the...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

To add to @Adz's point, the golden rule is that trims aren't a 'problem' if they are designed in from the start. Trims are only worth complaining about if they were added retrospectively as is sometimes the case, because they alter the speed the train moves through the rest of the course from...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Scott's map above made me realise how close this comes to the back of the FJ queue -- I'm pretty sure a lot of screams will be audible from the greenhouse. So now as well as FJ intruding on Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park can intrude on FJ and balance is restored to the force ;) Worth it though...

The force from those hydraulic launches is something else though. Absolutely incredible. Formula Rossa feels like having your face pulled off.

    Super Nintendo World (Osaka)

You’re correct in that Express comes with specific times there, and (in my experience) they won’t let you buy two with overlapping time periods even if it’d be possible to get from one to the other within the time window. But I would imagine for this people will just buy extra and forget the...

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

Beyond Leaky and Satuli, even Woody's Lunchbox in TSL seemed really busy when I was there (no tables, solid queue for food) -- are the Star Wars locations doing less business than that?! The story of Galaxy's Edge truly is a strange one.

    Super Nintendo World (Osaka)

That's a good spot, but if you zoom in on the first photo @Disneyhead posted you can see the 'trunk' at the moment is actually just tubular structural steel (you can see a joint between two sections just below the greenery). So there'll be some kind of prefab sculpted trunk to go on there...

I was originally so concerned it’d be impossible to translate the art style to real life without it looking super weird. But they nailed it. Obviously.
