I saw this thread come up in the New Posts feed feature the other day and realized my earliest photos here were from *a decade ago* now.
I thought it'd be fun to post a little "where they are now" update:
I joined this forum while I was in middle school down in Miami, and now I'm...
So. Hypothetically. What would 1,500 people spread out across Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley mean for wait times?
I have no idea what the capacity of Diagon Alley is like, but I want to know how much I can expect to get done at a four-hour event.
I think anybody old enough to engage in discussion on the boards is old enough to deal with a few f-bombs.
I'm still listening to the podcast, but it's awesome on several levels. I think the cursing humanizes it - it's more like listening in on a conversation than the "us vs. them" feel other...
"Gringotts was very good, not perfect. Video in Transformers is sharper & zero animatronics on ride. Need to process, but I like FJ better." - skubersky
Well, that's different.
Haha awesome, thanks for the heads up! I can't keep track of anything anymore.
Also, skubersky just mentioned a kuka arm on twitter. What does that mean. Either I'm missing a joke or there are kuka arms involved.
@TheSnitchSeeker is saying Gringotts has closed down for the night. Hopefully those who did get to ride it will go more in-depth in, like, the next five seconds.
Impatient? Me? Nah.

Aww yeah. From @themeparkwriter:
Ditto.
Half the reason I want a Phase III is because of this, right here. So happy I stumbled across this site way back when. You guys rule.
On that note, Celestina Warbeck!!!

It looks like some people are still "inching along" in the Gringotts line, so we may get some solid reactions yet.

From InsideTheMagic. The pictures move. I'm in love.
Also, I think I've posted more tonight than in any day of the five+ years I've been on this site. I'm still a rookie.

I think it's also the best clip of its roar we have so far.
Chills.
Oh man. Andrew Sims just tweeted "I won’t name names but several stars were stuck inside Gringotts while it was down. They came out all smiles though."
I'm sending my condolences to Universal's pride.
Here's ThemeParkInsider's shot of the boarding area hastily lightened up a little bit:
So, did ANYBODY get to ride Gringotts all the way through tonight? Ugh. So close.
The speeches and little "ceremony" were very special, in my opinion. As somebody who has grown up with the series etc. etc., Robbie Coltrane waving his umbrella and saying "welcome to Diagon Alley" really hit home, and it was so nice when they cut to Diagon Alley full of wizard people.
Tomorrow...
