That chase sequence is so jaw-dropping, I almost wish it had been used as the climax of the ride instead. (I so need to ride this!!!)

I didn't know where to talk about this or post it, but I figured this thread makes sense, since I've participated at lot in it. But I got my first book deal with Disney! This forum has been my go-to happy place during this pandemic and throughout the writing process of my book, so it felt right...

And imagine all the amazing over-the-top Valentine's Day desserts they could roll out there? This needs to happen!

Love it! I've always wished Universal had made this an actual restaurant/cafe that we could experience, since it was my favourite Hogsmeade locale in the books. I really like your vision of it!

    Super Nintendo World (Osaka)

Wow, the AR mixed with those sets is spectacular. I made me think how perfect tech like this would be for a Who Framed Roger Rabbit Ride filled with actual animated characters

The ironic thing about that one short clip of the ride we've seen is that the poster probably chose to post that portion because that's the portion that impressed them most. Little did they know, it's the physical sets the masses wanted to see

I think you captured how stunningly elegant a Rivendell land could look! And I heartily approve of any body of water in theme park lands. It adds so much life.

    Super Nintendo World (Osaka)

Agreed! I've never been into gaming, but seeing pics of this land takes me back to watching my older brother play Mario for hours, or watching my friends play Mariokart during sleepovers. It totally hits the 'feels' button in me.

This year, just for kicks, my Christmas cards feature the Hagrid Coaster concept art that I made years ago in anticipation of the ride's opening. I'm looking forward to the confused looks on my family members' faces, none of whom are into theme parks or Harry Potter

Thanks! Yeah, I was totally thinking of 3D printing him. My local library has a 3D printer that's free to use. I just have to figure out how to do it.

I've spent some of this lockdown learning how to sculpt digitally. I made this 'action figure' version of George Weasley, and placed him in Diagon Alley, naturally.

I'm pleasantly shocked at that walk articulation. I assumed it was just a static figure that would spin around the tree! Now I'm super excited to see how the plants move!

It looks so mindblowingly amazing! Also, is it just me, or does the blue stripey 'ice' effect make anyone else think instantly of the drop building on Dudley Do Right Ripshaw Falls?

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

Frankly, it is her essay that disturbed/disappointed me the most, even above her tweets.... I agree, that I don't think Universal is going to be dropping the Fantastic...

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

This is where I am at, too. Trying to subscribe to the whole 'death of the author' school of thought in my head, but hard to do when the author is alive and well and spewing words that I genuinely believe do harm to people I know and care for. It's all really depressing, because I've been a...

Thanks! Agreed. I certainly had an awakening or two when I first watched WWE back in the day :) This could bring in a whole new demo to the parks

I was thinking about what a Super Smash Brothers show in the parks might look like. I thought it would be interesting if they turned it into a Wrestlemania sort of affair. Here's my concept art for Mario as a wrestler.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort

BATB is my fave Disney cartoon of all time, so I'm totally hyped for this ride. The sneak peaks at the animatronics for this look amazing!

Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

I think HTTYD makes sense because a) it's arguably the most beloved of the Dreamworks properties (aside from Shrek, maybe). b) Its fantasy setting and core concept of 'riding on dragons' will always be captivating, even if the IP is largely forgotten.
