CityWalk Orlando Updates & Changes General Thread

I was able to walk up and get in line/a reservation for an hour later at Margaritaville during Christmas break. If you want to eat at Toothsome's, Antijitos, or BigFire, I recommend getting a reservation, but walk ups are a thing again

Toy Story Land - General Discussion

I usually put Spider-Man and Hulk as my ever rotating 1 and 1a. The same can be said for Everest and FoP at DAK. Not sure how everyone feels about Toy Story Mania, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed it years ago. Better than Space Ranger Spin IMO. Mania and Slinky could be a similar comparison.

Pandora: World of Avatar General Discussion

When I went last year, I was really impressed with Pandora. Flight of Passage was a really good ride with a next-gen ride system and a beautiful queue, though it was a two hour wait. The scenery was beautiful with all the plants, mountains, rockwork, and those waterfalls. Can't beat those...

What do we think the queue will entail?

The Future of Lost Continent (Poseidon Fury closing May 9)

Yeah it would be silly for Universal to open a Zelda land before introducing Super Mario World. Mario is the more recognizable name, and I think the success of SNW will determine future Nintendo attractions in Orlando. Let's see how SNW in Japan and Hollywood does first. Maybe we get Zelda after...

    Future of Toon Lagoon

If they don't utilize the Rocky & Bullwinkle characters, Peabody & Sherman, or other classic cartoons, I'm down for a recent property from Illumination. After all, the land is about animation and there was Despicable Me merch the last time I was there. If they could grab a non-Universal owned...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Uni is probably building a more permanent pedestrian bridge with space for the coaster to go underneath. At least that's what I've been reading up on these last couple of pages.

    Future of Toon Lagoon

That would have been cool! But with the 3 roller coasters that opened in 1999 and the Flying Unicorn/Flight of the Hippogriff in 2000, I guess there wasn't a need for it. What's sad is that the show that was in the theater didn't last long, only to be replaced by EXTREME and short-lived stunt...

    Future of Toon Lagoon

What's great about Toon Lagoon and a majority of IOA is that its been there since I was a child, and I enjoy it just as much as an adult. Going on Dudley brings me nostalgia that is easy to find at Disney, but rare at Universal. While I can be talked into seeing Dudley and Popeye go, it would...

    TODAY Cafe

I am all for anything Friends in the parks. I also know that Universal, even though NBC televised it, would need permission from Warner Bros. to use Friends in the parks. I don't ever see it happening. Today show is fine.

    TODAY Cafe

I don't expect them to change the recipes or food selection for what will be a breakfast/snack quick service. So yes the theme doesn't really matter and yet Universal will make it work.

I honestly thought 120 was the norm for FOP....

Pandora: World of Avatar General Discussion

Yeah FOP deserves the praise. Its a great ride in a park that needs more rides and an incredible queue. While not my favorite ride at Disney and possibly at AK, it brought the old-school simulator ride to the 21st century. It makes similar rides at Universal feel out of date, those being...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Music to my ears! Back on topic, I agree they should have waited until Jurassic World premiered before deciding to put Reign of Kong where it is. However, they need something in the Trike encounter location, and at least Kong isn't wasting that expansion pad. I really enjoy Kong. I never...

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Construction Discussion

So how much of this attraction will be enclosed? And how will they hide the show building when walking through the entrance? I can't imagine they are going to find trees big enough to hide each scene.

CityWalk Orlando Updates & Changes General Thread

I've been to Margaritaville plenty of times. Consistently good meals and those nachos are some of the best out there. It also fits in perfectly with the relaxing vibe that I get at the resort.

Race Through NY Starring Jimmy Fallon

Don't want to get too off topic, but I loved Corkscrew Hill. It used the same ride system as Star Tours as I recalled. I went to Busch Gardens last Saturday but skipped Europe in the Air, because I went on it before. Meh at best. Needs to be replaced. What we are getting at Fallon I fear will...

    MSHI Expansion?

I wonder what Universal has to do to convince Disney to allow them at least a new walk-around character? My understanding is that nothing can be added unless Disney gives it a thumbs up, and anything attraction, character lost cannot come back. Personally I can see a Mt. Crumpit ride within the...

    Star Wars Themed Land Speculation

Don't know if anyone heard the recent Disney Dish podcast with Jim Hill yet, but it looks like a 5 year plan for Star Wars land. Sounds interesting from what he said, but Star Wars is so vast that just that one area will be on par or "obliterate" Harry Potter, as said by some nuts, is ridiculous...

    Frozen Ever After

I look at Frozen as a movie that connected to so many kids and teens like me just as Potter did for us. It's the modern Disney princess film that can relate to a lot of us. Now I think Tangled is better than Frozen, and I also think Music from 10-15 years ago is better than today's whatever...
