Posted wait outside is like 110 min, but standby isn’t even into the extended queue (first room is full though). Currently in Express (which was backed up to the entrance), and I don’t feel like we’re moving more frequently than standby. Seems a little slow for express, idk.
Edit - sped up...
Been going to Universal for years but I just rode this for the first time yesterday. Ride is okay. Thrilling for a few seconds or so (and the view is nice) but man, the queue slaps. Bit of a hidden gem I think.
Was able to ride this twice today (first time). Went single rider, inexplicably got row 5 both times, once on the right and another on the left. Waited maybe 30-35 minutes both times with a 75 minute posted wait. I almost don't know what the heck actually happened on this ride, but I loved...
I’m also curious about the steering wheels. Maybe accurately turning in the direction of the track helps build points and determines which car will win at the end (items notwithstanding)? Something like MIB’s average score for each car, so ideally everyone would need to be turning the right way...
Sorry if this has already been answered, but has Universal said anything about APs when they open? Specifically if the term of APs is going to resume at the reopening date like normal. I’m concerned about using my AP to visit in the summer heat if masks are required. If I find that to be too...
Nah, I get it. If it was designed for 3D, then it should have 3D. At least the short screens would be mitigated somewhat by having less peripheral vision with the 3D glasses.
Hell, even Fallon’s screen is vastly more immersive than this. And Fallon’s ride film looks way higher production and realistic.
F&F’s 360 scene has a solid concept but the execution is botched beyond comprehension.
Like I can’t overstate how tiny the 360 screens are. Kong’s screens are already too short to hide the tops and these feel about half as tall. I was looking up and there’s sooooo much wasted space between the top of the screen and the show building roof. I have no idea why the building is as tall...
Just rode for the first time!
Aside from the slow moving line, cringe inducing preshows (that are elevated slightly by the TMs riffing on them), way too long musion scene, and 360 scene with terrible CGI and screens that are about half as tall as they need to be, this was pretty alright.
Waited around two hours for this today and it was absolutely worth it. Best ride in Orlando. Original take, I know, but still.
edit - whoops, this isn’t the review thread.
The launch into the zero-g roll is a pretty intense and unique feeling. But everything else on the ride should be no problem if you can handle RnRC. Sit near the middle of the train for a slightly less harrowing ride.
That would be so frustrating. Maxpass is brilliant because of its simplicity - no one has to refresh the app or fight over a finite amount of FPs. WDW could have unlimited FPs but what happens when a family purchases that option for DHS but Slinky doesn't have any FPs left to book? That would...
Welp, I'm done (until tomorrow) and my legs hurt (and will prolly hurt tomorrow).
Attendance issues or not, this felt like a true off season day in the best way - the way that's getting more and more rare at WDW. If I had been surveyed about the ease of getting on attractions today, I probably...
