I’ve never done opening day for any of these openings. I’ve always been lucky with softs. But with this, I literally leave to California for two months the day after open. I HAVE to ride this Thursday
People talking about you is a good thing if you’re a small, unknown brand.
I think Universal is beyond this sort of baseline PR strategy. Universal is capable of doing this sort of event much better.
I've been to the XD theater at Artegon, and its definitely my least favorite of the "big screen" IMAX alternatives. Sound doesn't compare to IMAX or Dolby, or even RPX. I rarely viewed movies at CityWalk, but sometimes other theaters were sold out and it was a nice backup.
I suppose this means we lose the IMAX theatre as well. Not that it's a great IMAX, but the company is rolling out nice new projectors for its small-screen cineplex theatres. And until Regal at Pointe Orlando upgrades their projector, I'm never giving them money again.
THIS! It is 100x more fun with just the vests. Shoot, I've visited the park in the morning sometimes just for an hour in the river with the vest. One of my favorite things ever.
William Ross worked on the Chamber of Secrets score. I don't think he has official writing credits, but most people believe he ghost wrote chunks of it. He's credited for "score adaptation" and conducting. He also wrote and conducted the Potter music adaptations used in FJ, Escape from...
The announcement was along the lines of "We apologize but your tour of Skull Island cannot continue as planned. Stay seated and wait for a team member for further instructions."
Second time getting to the front of the line and the ride breaking down as we're next. From the announcements it sounds like they're doing an evac for the peeps currently in the show building.
Thoroughly enjoyed this attraction. The queue is fantastic. I think it benefits from all of various elements. The theming is great, but the way people move through the line just can't compare to FJ or Gringotts. Loved the witch scene. Glad I got to experience the whole scene.
The ride itself...
While I'm glad this didn't soft while I was out of town for 3 weeks, I'm starting to get restless lol. And word is Disney is having their own issues with wireless tracking - hence the RoL delay. But that's a different thread...
I think there's no question about getting into the parks at Disney being a better experience. The tech/turnstiles are better, and the people are nicer. However, the newly added security people can be a bit... rude.
Universal can benefit from a more efficient system, and perhaps retraining of...
I like the logo. Would've preferred a bolder font, but I think it's fundamentally a good design. And to compare it to the Adventure Island logo is laughable.
