New Water Park coming to Universal Orlando?

^^I seem to remember having some similar conjecture a while back....

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

^if you had enough free time to go all the way back and dig up those posts, you also would have seen how in July (which was the month business picked up) that I admitted I was wrong. Im not going to force anyone to believe me. Although, its weird, if I was to say the same thing about Disney...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

Guys, its not something you will see in any quarterly reports. Of course there will be an increase in attendance and revenue. They will not show each days projected rate of attendance or sales in comparison with the actual figures. The same guys saying that the area is under expectations...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

No, that was speculation on my part before the thing opened...I took it right back as soon as I was proven wrong. Nice try though  EDIT: I was snooping around about info for Diagon and found someone who seems to agree with me and looks to be quite high up in the theme park...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

I dont remember disputing any of this, but I would very much appreciate if you would point out to me where I contradict any of this information. Diagon Alley is an A+ expansion. All Im saying is that based on what I have heard and seen, Universal expected A++. Its not like the place is a...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

Universal calls their sales targets "budget". Sorry for the confusion.

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

Agree 100%, it definitely is a success. Im not arguing that. - - - Updated - - - Its not something I can just throw out there...I guess I dont expect anyone to believe me. I thought Id throw out what I saw to start a discussion, but whatever. If thats not what people want to hear then we'll...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

Im curious still as to why you guys insist on this. Please feel free to look up the revenues for the summer, attendance figures, and then compare them to projected figures. I have seen the numbers and have yet to hear any evidence to the contrary. The land is undoubtedly a success; there is...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

That just means you arent sure what budget is. Every day, each venue in the park sets a goal for how much money it is expected to make. It fluctuates every day based on projected attendance, the season, even the weather forecast. Its different for every store and can change between the years...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion (Part 1)

I have to wonder if the fact that Diagon Alley performed under expectations so far will hinder Comcast's ambitious plan for the next few years. An onslaught of new investments in theme parks isnt always a good thing, especially when relying on tourism. I also wonder if the budgets for...

    Best 3D show?

Terminator 2, to me, is an almost perfect attraction. It has a great pre-show that sets the mood perfectly while being true to the Terminator franchise...the way the Cyberdyne promo deftly blends optimism with a sense of dread is absolutely fantastic. The theater portion is also...

    Next Attraction To Go?

It was going to get demo'd for Transformers...maybe those are the permits? I dont think they would file plans to upgrade it with the intentions of getting rid of it. And I completely agree, T2 is awesome!

    King Kong Speculation Thread

Transformers' basement is usually necessary infrastructure for any ride like that. So you gotta figure an underground queue would be IN ADDITION to the necessary TF-type basement.

    King Kong Speculation Thread

Yeah, true, but how many underground structures are there in Orlando? I have no idea about the logistics of construction or anything like that so maybe it is very possible to build guest areas underground here, but I'm not sure anyone has really done it yet.

    King Kong Speculation Thread

I dont think the queue will actually be underground because of how high Floridas water table is. I think thats just a theme idea, or it may be under the bulk of the rides showbuilding. But probably not under the actual ground.

    King Kong Speculation Thread

How often do these movies actually get released on time nowadays? If they delay a year for the movie which ends up getting pushed back another year, theyve just lost a year of revenue.

    Halloween Horror Nights 24 Discussion

Because if the event turns out to be a stinker, people can use that taglinr against it...like "HHN sucked this year, you bet it was more dead than ever". In marketing, you never want a tagline or subtitle or caption or anything like that to be able to be twisted against whatever youre...

    Universal on a Budget

Yeah it used to be that if you spent $50 or more before tax you got a free $10 gift card...but that promotion is no longer in effect.

    Twister...Ride It Out

Its actually not as terrible as some people here make it out to be...well obviously, how terrible it is is all your opinion but the general public seems to eat it up. As far as I know it runs at a solid capacity and never has much of a line simply because its a people-eater (think about it...
