Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

What's the difference in size between the expansion pad at EU and Kidzone at USO? Depending on the ideas being developed, that would probably play a large part in which park a Pokemon land would go. Pokemon is a huge, worldwide phenomenon, easily as popular and well known as Mario or Mickey...

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

I agree. :) Using the Detective Pikachu environments would be a good choice. Also, if people aren't familiar with that movie, not only did it use the best-known pokemon worldwide (regardless of gen, there are very few people who don't recognize pikachu) as it's star, but the world is loaded with...

    Kennywood Park

Recent pics and media relevant to this thread's interests (unless you don't like these types of coasters). Coaster's looking (and running) incredible. It's a bucket list coaster for me, to be sure.:grin: Looking out at the coaster from the station (care of cduarte125 on the...

General Discussion - Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

This happens with LSMs a lot. It's such a common maintenance issue. With Lightning Rod (whose LSMs have had all kinds of issues since its debut season in 2016--I forget who manufactured those for RMC, as they don't do LSMs), it was an ongoing issue for a few seasons, frequently bringing the...

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

So... With B&M trademarking their new Surf Coaster, I'm going to call it now--BotW inspired shield surfing coaster coming to Zelda area in 20-whenever :lol::lol: :bolt:

    Universal Studios Beijing (Now Open)

Another update over on Themeparxx. Even more track installed on the Transformer coaster, a few different views of the Kung Fu Panda land/indoors, and, finally, a view of the WWoHP area from the ground. Exciting stuff! (edited to add: sorry for the double post ) Transformers...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion News (Part 2)

Throwing this out there: they may not need a parcel of land anywhere near the current size for a new school. I'm not sure when that school was built or how large the student population has grown since it was built, but many high schools are forced to use the "mobile classrooms" (trailers) for...

Universal Orlando Resort Expansion News (Part 2)

If this is happening, and UOR wants that acreage, I don't see anything happening on it that would threaten progress on the south property, given what they've already done to the south to get the land ready. I'd see this land being used for plans further in the future than FW.

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Would there be room in the land for both? We didn't visit Watering Hole on our trip--what alcoholic drinks do they serve there?(the official site is failing me at work) Isla Nu-Bar seems heavily focused on tropical cocktails and frozen mixes, so it could be another option in the land

Is it in any of the construction pics above? On the themeparxx site, there are more pics and better descriptions of the IP areas. There was a lot of in-progress stuff in the video, but the construction pics are more recent. I'd guess one of the ride buildings or one of the hotels, maybe?

Jurassic World: The Ride Construction Thread

I'd definitely be willing to pay more for the nicer wooden-look cups than I would for the standard-ish clear one, not even gonna to lie, even if they are gimicky, lol. I wonder if they're waiting to roll out the option of the even-more-expensive cups during the actual grand reopening or...

Thanks for this! I check that site once a week or so for various non-US projects, but missed this update. I'm loving watching the progress on this resort, especially with it going vertical so quickly, now. :) I always like watching coaster-building progress, and the Transformers coaster is hard...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Seeing the JP area remodel over at USH, I'd love to see that look/style come to UOR, while maintaining a good portion of the lush island look (Orlando is spoiled in this respect, with its island--more land to play with). I think it would work well at IoA, combining the classic Jurassic Park with...

General Discussion - Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

I really kind of want to pat his head or something, as he's just not getting it? He seems a bit confused over either terminology or what an open ride is compared to a ride in rehearsals. The ride is experiencing technical difficulties at times. This is not unheard of when it comes to rides, most...

That's the best part of watching these bad riders being built--you can only guess at what kind of batsh*t crazy-fun elements these will be. And, yeah, something like that is child's play for an RMC, lol. Edited to add new construction pictures that were posted to the RMC Connoisseurs FB group...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

Very, very much a case of wishful thinking, but when I first heard more about these plans for a lightly-themed thrill coaster in Jurassic Park in IoA, I immediately hoped it would be a T-Rex single-rail RMC coaster (the big brother to the Raptor single-rail that's used in Railblazer at...

    Iron Gwazi (General Discussion)

RMC Gwazi alone will be worth the trip, no doubt.:grin: I feel like a huge fangirl, continually hyping the RMC coasters, but they really are in a class all their own. Be they I-Box, Topper Track, or Raptor/single-rail, they all amaze in their own way. BGT chose wisely, in this case...

RMC Gwazi construction update photos from 6/11/19, care of user flyingdrums over on the r/rollercoasters Reddit. This RMC is shaping up to be especially twisted and tangled, given the area they're working in :grin: (original reddit post)
