    Theme Park Artwork

In honor of DHS 30th Anniversary I did a quick model and render exercise for the earful tower. #gonebutnotforgotten lol

    Theme Park Artwork

I used Pixelogic’s Zbrush for these particular projects. Still learning the program, but I really enjoy it for the organic sculpting and modeling latitude it provides. It's basically digital clay. Much removed from the various CAD software I am proficient with. Lol. Yes, glad we are on the...

    Theme Park Artwork

Just finished this sculpt. Always had an affinity for the T-70. Definitely planning on printing this one out. Also, Unrelated to the above. A Mickey Christmas Carol door knocker I sculpted and printed which is now currently adorning my front door lol. (not in love with the paint job...

    Theme Park Artwork

Well, I have gleaned quite a bit from pictures so far. It rides high in the water at the splash down, in the station and especially on the first lift hill directly after load/unload. So I would just like to get a better view from angles not available in photos (i guess most people don’t deem...

    Theme Park Artwork

That looks like a great start! Its hard to model accurately without any real baseline for dimensional accuracy, but I think overall your proportions look pretty good. It's hard to tell for sure, but the only thing that I believe is throwing me off are the openings in the walls that obscure...

    The Mystery of the HHNVault?

I was a member back in the day, even had a shirt. Cant really remember what happened, but it was a pretty lively site in its heyday.

    Theme Park Artwork

I own a Flashforge Creator. It's definitely not a high end machine, but for the price it does a fine job for my purposes (post processed and conceptual models). I believe I printed this at the printer's highest resolution; .1 mm. The next best printer I would consider buying is an Ultimaker. It...

Fast & Furious: Supercharged - General Discussion

I believe its supposed to be a drone. Doesn't read well and probably isn't the best choice for such fast paced story telling. (no pun intended)

Rivers of Light General Discussion and Photos

Watched the show from the Flame Tree Barbecue dock tonight. Cant really make an informed decision since I was watching the show from behind and I also couldn't see the projections. But what I did see didn't look too bad. (I also didn't have to wait in a huge line for an hour or fight crowds to...

    Theme Park Artwork

Haven't had too much time to work on the Mara sculpt, but I wanted to print it is so I could just hold it in my hand. Gave it a short acetone vapor bath to reduce the print lines, I will print the next one vertically for best resolution instead of laying on its back. Will also print it larger.

    Theme Park Artwork

Cool man! I've made a little progress on it, but I've been super busy with work, and all our (and my) printers will be busy for a while. I usually use a CAD program to model as that is my background as opposed to organic modeling (although I try to vary my work). I've also 3D scanned my head at...

    Theme Park Artwork

Haven't posted in a minute, but I started a sculpt of Mara today; the god from the Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland. Still just massing it out, but once I finish i'm planning on 3D printing it, hitting it with an acetone vapor bath and maybe finishing it with paint and texture. Will update.

    Halloween Horror Nights 26 Discussion

Sorry haven't been able to read the forums in a couple weeks. Do we think the added dates are attendance related? (Aka hurricane Matthew?) Or merchandise sales? Attendance has seemed pretty healthy this year. Or is it just testing the waters for the future..?

    Halloween Horror Nights 26 Discussion

This will be my 19th year. The earliest year I can definitively remember going is 1998, although my parents may have taken me a year or two prior. Time really flies. Cant wait though!

Pandora: The World of Avatar Announcement, Construction, & Preview Discussion

My guess, aerial perspective | art | Britannica.com Helps with scale and increases "depth", like how the colors on Cars Land's Cadillac Range shift from a very warm orange palate near the bottom to a more subdued palate higher up.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong - General Discussion

For a quick review Well, only two of the eight rides were clear of technical difficulties. However on those two rides we had to take the bypass because of weather (I consider that B-mode, but not a malfunction). The problems ranged from complete e-stops and prolonged downtime (about 5-8 minutes...

From last night, during the lighting storm. Just taken from my phone, so not the best, but pretty cool none the less.
