Pandora keeps people in the park longer, allows more money to be spent in the park (dinner hours!). This, along with toy story, are going to help alleviate some crowds when Star Wars opens
The issue they were having during previews would not cause a fire alarm to go off.... besides that issue was fixed right before opening day. This is normal Growing Pains issues that pop up when you start running a ride for 14 hours a day fully loaded with people. Don't make mountains out of...
The plants you see are native to Pandora, a fictional alien world... on Pandora, they would be real, so bioluminescent is the correct term. Do you think they'd really say come see the fake glowy plants at the new area of animal Kingdom?
Dear God please not another 10 pages on the relevancy of Avatar... it's built, it's beautiful and the rides are awesome, with or without an appreciation of the films... let's move on please.
That is incorrect. The ride platforms are a separate entity from the building structure. I have been working on this ride for many months...i assure you, the ride platform moves up and down.
The platform you're on does move up and down... you don't feel anything as dramatic as tower of terror, and it feels natural with the motion of the video. Don't think that you'll be flying off your seat like in tower :)
The ride tower does move up and down to simulate the forces during flight.
Best place to sit is on the second level close to the center of the tower, not necessarily the very end chair.
