We were up there the past 3 days. The first two we had a late start. So with the ride going up and down periodically and weather every day it was posted over a 3 1/2 hour wait. We went in the queue each time to see where the line was. Each time it was filled to the point of Hagrid’s hut with...
Forgot to post about my stay in late September. But my review would be very close to the one above by Brad. Overall a very enjoyable experience though if cost was the same across the resorts this would be my last pick. That just shows you the quality of the resorts at Universal. We did stay in a...
Last Wed I was able to do every house twice doing exactly this with Express. Then Thursday we tried the opposite and had to use Express for every house and we’re only able to do everything once. I know the crowds were low last Wed but on Friday we started at the back of the park again and walked...
We’ll be going Sept. 19 - 22 RoF w/ express. One of our first dates was HHN 11 and we haven’t missed one since. Staying at Aventura to check out the new hotel and Volcano bay on the 19th.
At the deluxe resorts, yes I’m sure. They don’t give you a king option it’s just luck of the draw. That’s Coronado Springs and you can get it there but that’s a moderate. I have a personal letter from Disney from the last time I stayed at Beach Club on an anniversary trip and didn’t get a king room.
At Disney you can’t select your bed type if you want a king bed. You have to put in a request that is not a guarantee. The only way to guarantee you get a king bed at a Disney resort is if you stay in a one or two bedroom DVC or Grand Floridian concierge king. The last three times I’ve requested...
Haven't posted in a while but I am going to be staying here for 4 nights in five weeks. It looks good from everything I've seen. Basically a standard hotel that is located on site. It's a great location if you are going to go to Volcano Bay. If you don't like the pool at Aventura there is a very...
To me it looks like it’s a calcium or some sort of solids in the mist causing a build up on the surface of the slide. They probably just need to acid wash the slide and it will look good as new. I’m sure the slide is made of a blue material all the way through. It isn’t painted. And yes nothing...
They can see what you had and they put it in the new one. They have given me a bump in time too for the inconvienince before. On Thursday though it didn't matter. Everything was ride now except for the red drop slide. We had everything done before noon except the serpentine slides since they...
They didn't have them anywhere three days ago. I asked at the front and a concierge in the back. Both said they were all out. Of course I lost a band that day so figures. It is easy to get a replacement though. Still had the old style bands that day too
Anyone know when the serpentine slides...
Best part about the slide is you start at a black hole in the ground and end up in a grotto surrounded by waterfalls and fish tanks. Totally unexpected. Here are a couple pics from about 10 years ago. Still one of the best water parks I've ever been to.
Did anyone notice the amount of light niches in the wave pool from the last video posted. All the circles in the walls are for led lights. There seems to be a lot more than needed. It could be because of the size of the wave pool, but i think it's more for a synchronized lighting wave effect. As...
Looks like there was an issue with the surface adhering to the concrete shell. Sometimes if the bond coat isn't applied right water can get between the pool surface and concrete shell causing a sort of bubble. It can grow and cause more problems if not addressed such as hydration staining or the...
If you only had to build and theme the outside structure of a cone shape it would be easier and cheaper than building 75% of said structure and theming the outside and interior section. Also it would require more support and reinforced beams so it won't collapse.
I don't understand what the issue is with the volcano. Once everything is finished it will look complete. You won't be able to see any of the supports to the volcano from park view. Building the volcano with the back blown out is actually more expensive than if it were enclosed. It requires more...
Ok I was able to try this out yesterday and here are a few things I noticed. BTW I'm not a Jimmy Fallon fan and don't watch the show but I don't hate him either. This is a soft opening so this is definitely not how it will be operating on opening day. Said 45 min outside when we walked in and...
