    Howl-O-Scream 2014

Glad to hear you had a good time HTF! Agree with you on The Basement - last week it seemed almost understaffed. A few more scare actors in dead spots (no pun intended) would elevate this house I think. Zombie Mortuary, being the oldest house still in the line-up, has been panned by a lot of...

    Howl-O-Scream 2014

The park has not offered a bus service (through Mears) for HOS like they do with the daytime ticket. They get some requests every year, but so far they must not have had a big enough push for it since they don't offer it. The best option from Orlando is to rent a car and drive yourself down for...

    Quick Queue Changes

FYI, it's back to the regular Quick Queue system. I spoke with several staff members about the pilot program, and reaction was generally negative from guests. The biggest complaints were no pass member discounts and no wi-fi to use it around the park.

    Quick Queue Changes

If they continue to push cell phone use for their app and additional capabilities like this test, they need to roll out wi-fi park wide.

    Quick Queue Changes

This is the final week of a three week test of the new system at BGT. No word if it will continue next week or if it will go back to the old system. The pilot program is only being tested at BGT; if it works well, it could be rolled out to other SEAS parks in the future.

    Falcon's Fury

From the beginning, there was supposed to be a painted design on the tower. From what sources told me last year, the majority of it was supposed to have been painted onto the pieces before assembly, with final work done once assembled. Then after the pieces arrived, it was decided to do the...

    Falcon's Fury

Nothing much to update on - waiting for the manufactured parts to arrive and be installed.

    Falcon's Fury

I can confirm the article is incorrect. Contacted Busch Gardens directly, and spokesperson said it was not open. Just to be doubly sure, I went to the park, and walls are still up, testing was continuing today.

Busch Gardens Closed Due To Rain

There was some sand/sediment left behind in the tram tunnel, so it's quite likely there was at least some water under there. But not entirely sure. Visited today and out on the Serengeti, there are still several areas that have standing water - that aren't supposed to. The elephant habitat...

Busch Gardens Closed Due To Rain

It was a rough day here in Northeast Tampa. We got about 6 to 8 inches of rain between 8 and 11 a.m. Lots of flash/street flooding all around the park. I found that image of Cheetah Hunt off on Reddit (user 'Slapocalypse' posted it there) and shared it on facebook and twitter earlier. Helps to...

    Falcon's Fury

Just got an email response from Jeff via Kelly at the park:

    Falcon's Fury

Bob, Curious where the 48 inch minimum height number came from. On our tour, I asked Jeff Hornick that very question and he replied that the target was 54 inches, but that could change pending test results.

    Falcon's Fury

Thanks for the introduction Bob! Here's a few images from recent articles giving a bit of perspective from around the park. This is after the third section was installed, so it's a bit taller now. But looking from the Skyride towards SheiKra: Next two images show the fourth section...
