Mummy seems like the most likely location for Donkey Kong. It also makes sense that the main reason we are getting a Fast and Furious ride is so that the park has a major coaster for when Mummy leaves.
If herd immunity is a myth, then how do you expect this pandemic to end? Will it just go on forever? If it goes on forever, should theme parks be closed forever?
There are two reasons for my statement.
1. The virus will keep spreading until herd immunity is reached.
2. The kind of people who are willing to go theme parks during a pandemic are likely to engage in other risky actives on a regular basis.
If theme parks are open, it is likely that some people will get covid from them. However, if the parks are closed, it is likely that a lot of of these same people will get the virus eventually anyway from somewhere else.
We would have had a spike in cases no matter when we open. If we were to have the lock down last a few months longer, we would have the same problem we have now, but just a few months later down the road.
Hong Kong seemed to have things "under control". Hong Kong Disneyland is shutting down again.
The fact that the California government is willing to put things back into shutdown has created a lot of uncertainty in it's economy. Many businesses are now concerned that when they are allowed to reopen, it won't last long before they are asked to shutdown again. Restarting a business after...
I am surprised that grocery shopping is only a 3 on the risk scale. I work in a grocery store. Many of my co workers seem to be willing to go back to theme parks. They view it as not that much more dangerous than their jobs.
Most of the states that are seeing decreases are states that got hit hard early on and have a significant portion of the population that is immune. Plus some of those states like New York and New Jersey still have a lot of their businesses shut down.
We locked down in the Spring. All that did was push infections off to the Summer. If we lock down in the Summer, that will just push infections into the fall. If we lock down in the fall, that will just push infections into the winter .Lock downs don't solve the Covid problem. They just push the...
Right now there is a temporary ban on evictions in Florida. At some point that will end. When that happens, many who don't have jobs will instantly become homeless. I think many park employees would rather go to work and risk getting covid than be homeless.
I can understand the view of those who think we should open things now. I also understand the view of those who think things should stay closed until a vaccine. However opening anytime between those two extremes is just an arbitrary date that a politician pulls out of their butt.
How long should openings be delayed? If we delay things til August, cases will most likely be higher than they are now. What about September? Higher still! Maybe October? Even worse! November? Really bad! December? Nuclear Winter!
Cases are going to keep climbing higher and higher until herd...
I would expect that amount of cases will be much higher during the Halloween season than they are now. The combination of the weather cooling down and people getting increasingly getting tiered of social distancing will lead to a massive spike of cases in the fall.
Will they let people take off their mask to eat and drink? I know many people eat their popcorn and drink their soda slowly throughout the whole movie. I could see people buying food just so they don't have to wear a mask.
Movie theaters make most of their money from concessions. They don't make much from ticket sales. A movie theater will never voluntarily require face masks as that would kill food and drink sales.
