I’m still holding out hope for the backside of the bbq restaurant outside of monsters land to get some kind of theming. I wonder if logistics won’t allow them to add village theming there since it’s facing a walkway in the land..my guess now is it’ll b tree lined or maybe a berm
Fortune teller tents in Monsters Land, constant fog effects, the detailed facades in the village oh man I’m so hyped the more info comes out! And now Pizza Moon next to Frosty Moon ice cream, Oak and Star Tavern near Star Bucks just makes all that much more sense to me. Along with Ying Yang...
Anyone have an idea what the new structures will be that are being built in front of the Wolfman coaster station? The shapes of the steel look really quite different than anything I’ve seen.
The fact that Tapu Tapu now allows guests to upload credit card info via smartphone for purchases within the park is a HUGE advantage over it's competitors now. game over.
It blows my mind seeing people complain about the hole in the volcano..on the backside of it at that. The landscaping did more than enough to cool my worries about the theming as it provides a lush tropical setting for Krakatau to sit. I think those rope bridges connecting the stairway platforms...
I think it's so corny that people actually take sides in 'theme park wars'. Who cares if disney or universal makes the better attraction, mind you 'better' is subjective and totally based on personal preferences nowadays with both major resorts going over the top in theme and ride tech. I...
Nah..let's be real. Nothing will keep Star Wars fans from Disney when that opens. The next biggest blow to Disney after Star Wars would be Universals 4th park. But as far as the water parks go, Volcano Bay will be King for a long while no doubt.
I love everything about the design and attractions within the park. My only tiny gripe is that I wish there was more rockwork with caves and such surrounding the perimeters of the park as well. It would really feel as though u are in a 'bay' or cove, like a more enclosed from the outside world...
I think a Madagascar Island would be the perfect overlay for Toon Lagoon. Keep the Rapids ride and demo the theater for a Madagascar dark ride(Not sure what could become of Dudleys). Madagascar could also flow nicely into Skull Island I would think.
It's not so much me thinking it would be 'impossible' more so than I didn't think they would. In my own mind I couldn't picture a ride based on a video game without some use of screens..which Uni does so well. But with that being said I am pleasantly surprised and can't wait to see what comes of it.
I was under the impression that it'd be nearly impossible to do Nintendo without screens. I can't even wrap my thoughts around it. Way to go UC if they pull this off.
I didn't think about the wind and storm factor because they wouldnt have to be as high in the sky to cross I-4 and I've read max operation cross wind speeds of 25 to 35mph. But just a thought.
Outside of the Mayan and Ancient Egyptian themed resorts I'd like to see at the new plot, my blue sky for the transportation via Gondola cable cars to the new expansion pad, would have a connector station at a Ski-Resort themed resort at the WnW plot. What a draw that would be along I-Drive.
How much capacity would be needed? The monorail at Disney has a 365 person capacity per. These particular gondolas have a 110 person per. Assuming more of
these could circulate safely on the same track (cable), they wouldn't be far off from matching the capacity the monorail offers. Not that...
How realistic is it to have heavy capacity gondola cable cars connecting Universal A, with a station @WetnWild plot, then out to Universal B plot. Similar to the Roosevelt Island Tramway in NY where each car has a 110 person capacity. Without any expert knowledge, I would assume this would be...
For the record: if they ever build a 3rd park and name it Universal Legends Park, let that be my claim to fame for first coming up with that name. That's all folks:)
And since we're talking names..can we go ahead and change Islands of Adventures to something like Epic Adventures when the new Universal Legends Park :clap:comes online. IMO the whole 'islands' thing hasn't really fit since Potter came on line.
Laika properties is a must. I feel that Uni could do wonders with recreating environments from the films. A Boxtrolls ride would be Epic. Coralines garden at night would compete with Disney's Avatarland in the nightime GLOW department.
