This thing is a national treasure. It looks so damn good! After a terrible 12 months, it makes me so happy to see this coaster almost ready.
Sidenote: I think Pantheon has a better elements, but there's no denying it: VelociCoaster is a sexy beast.
Here’s to hoping it flies over it! Regardless of speed, with the trim being located further along the tophat, this will definitely be a front row coaster.
This will be more difficult for Universal. If Disney wants something to be relevant they will shove it down your throat.
I get your point, but the only non IP land in Islands of Adventure is currently their weakest. And they’re closing its only ride for the time to save money.
Some IP’s stand the test of time (Mario, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park)
I’m not too sure about How to Train Your Dragon’s lasting power. (Although at least they are good movies!) I really wish they could get a hold of Pokémon. It’s still fairly popular after 20 years.
Actually I’m a little...
What phrase would best capture the spirit of Universal Studios then? They’ve essentially gutted its original soul and replaced it with countless simulators.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around the theme of this park.
Universal Studios = “Ride the Movies”
Islands of Adventure = Books, comics, stories, etc.
Epic Universe = ???
Is it really just “We want you to spend more days at our resort so here’s another park”?
Since ”wish list” is in the...
I just want the coaster gone ASAP. It’s one thing for a smaller amusement park to have a coaster collecting dust, but this is Disney we’re talking about. It’s different when they announced Stitch’s Great Escape never returning, because that’s easily hidden. But I t’s just plain embarrassing to...
Considering how sharp that top hat is I understand why they put trim on it. Throw in the fact that the trains are being launched into it, and I’m completely okay with it.
I don’t like trims that ruin the pacing of a coaster. This isn’t one of those trims.
I mean you're not wrong. They are hyper focused on only creating a ride if it's tied to a popular IP. But they already have a land (Pandora) that isn't focused on animals. Yes, I know it has a pro-environment theme, but it's still just a bunch of fake plants and fake animals. Dinosaurs were...
That and I’d want to know how often someone doesn’t clear the hill. The point of these slides is to help deal with the terrible capacity that most water slides have.
How were the wait times in the summer last year? With them losing their only mat racer it seems like a no brainer for their next expansion to include a high capacity mat racer that, you know, actually races.
