Yeah I dunno, the Hollywood version of the land looks pretty meh compared to Japan. I knew it wouldn't be as good as Japan's due to the size problem, but I've noticed lots of corner cutting in general though. Like the 1-up Factory floor looks way worse than Japan's, and the back mountains very...
When did the Jurassic identity go from being charming and somewhat colorful, to sterile gray bars and blue neon lights. It's like the new theming was designed by a Twitch streamer or something. That queue line has all the charm of a Prison.
I don't actually think most of the food options will be changed. Sure a few items won't make it over, but honestly most of the food I have seen doesn't seem like something a US crowd wouldn't eat...
What are the odds that when Mario Kart arrives in Orlando they maybe add / perfect some things on the ride that make it better than in Japan? For example, the scene near the end with the big lava boulder Bowser, in the ride now it's just a projection - any chance we could see that become a real...
Honestly the actual land and overall experience itself is what impresses me most about this land. The food and merch too! The rides I don't really know yet, I have to be on them for final judgment - but the details and atmosphere in the land alone is what really stands out to me.
I definitely like watching the ride without the AR applied to the footage lol. Then again actually *being* on the ride I'm sure could be a very different feeling when it comes to whether I like the AR or not. Some people who have been on it said the ar felt kind of blurry.
I also feel like the...
It's really hard to tell what is going on in a video for this ride. Maybe I'm looking at a bad video, but all the AR stuff seems choppy and cuts off a lot.
Forgive me if this has been confirmed or discussed already, but can you get more items than Koopa Shells on the ride to use? Given that the attraction doesn't change up it's physical speed I can't figure out how a Mushroom Boost or Starman would work. In fact looking at the items in the games...
I'm really baffled by the passionate desire some people have to defend the screen / simulator rides at Universal. It's perfectly fine if you enjoy that kind of experience - whatever makes ya happy - great! But the way a few people actually get snarky and condescending to the people who desire a...
Not to bandwagon or spread negativity - but yeah seeing all that screen stuff in the finale is a definite let down for me. I've already experienced Mario Kart on a screen for decades now, and in the comfort of my own home without waiting in a 3 hour line to play. I also get to have total...
Given Comcast's reign of simulated screen based rides, it's pretty understandable that many people would be tired of a decade of cheaply thrown together screen rides at this point. Why expecting a billion dollar company to actually build a real ride that is filled with props, scenes and actual...
It's a giant shame that the first image we see from the actual Mario Kart Ride is of a nasty looking screen. I was under the impression this ride was going to have tons of real sets and special effects and a bunch of animatronics. I know that one single image doesn't mean that stuff isn't there...
Forgive me if this is a silly question, but has HHN ever re-used a property for multiple years? I'm going for the first time this year and I really would love to see Killer Klowns again. Sadly I feel like it isn't very likely, but figured I would ask if Universal has done something like that in...
There seems to be this "OH YEAH?! WELL DISNEY SUCKS MORE!!" mentality on these forums. As if pointing out the downfalls of Universal Orlando must mean I'm some Disney fanboy. I'll say this, Disney makes just as much lame trash as Universal, but at the end of the day at least with Disney I can...
And if / when Disney starts making low quality attractions like modern Universal, I'll be right there front and center, more than happy to talk about what a huge disappointment they are too. Thankfully, based on guest feedback at Universal that I personally heard in person, and comments left on...
Quality over quantity my friend. I'll take 1 new attraction every 5 years if it means that attraction is more than a King Kong video game cutscene being projected onto walls around me while a vehicle slightly rocks around. At this point it's a guarantee that any new attraction that comes to UOR...
