    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

Universal using the same IP in two different parks? :look: Never!!! lol. I actually agree with you. I have no issue with them having both at least they find something to do with JP. As for now, let it be. Reflection of the past with the promise of the future. Grab both Jurassic Franchise...

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

I want to merge several ideas I've read on here. If they were your ideas, please feel free to yell at me for your credit and I'll be happy to attribute. I love the idea of a Mountain for an icon. It technicall hasn't been used for a park icon (besides Volcano Bay) but it can be redesigned to...

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

Just had a weird thought...Universal can keep them both? lol Bring both fandoms to their parks. Take DC to the 4th park.

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

I for one appreciate the effort you took to go find your quote. If they go with boardwalks, they would have to them theme for me not to complain. Being devils advocate though, I'm not sure if they would for for that. Unless they are closed all day, the boardwalks would encourage guest to use...

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

Cool. It's just my inner fan wanting Universal to have another drop in their bucket to choose from and I think that this would give them a stronger match up against Disney without Disney giving their unwanted (yet sadly required) permission.

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

Yep they do, but it's so limited with just in East Coast, USA. I want them to have something like that to flex their muscles internationally and also without the Mouse's approval. I'm not going to lie and say that I read through that Bible of contract but doesn't Disney get to have some say so...

THIS :agree: I've always wanted DC to drop Six Flags and come to the big leagues. Give Universal something to fight Disney with Marvel. I would LOVE to see those two Titans fight to the death with Action Hero attractions.

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

Okay. Duh to me. Thank you . It's been years since I've been on here and still learning the new changes.

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

If I could steal from @s8film40 's earlier post, every area highlighted can have a RoL build out to accommodate the crowds. This is actually a pretty great idea. Side note: It's been awhile. What photo site do you all use to upload pictures to? Photobucket sucks to me.

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

The map unfortunately has a lot of areas colored that isn't really view able areas (in both parks). Long and thin should be ideal for a lagoon show rather than deep. Deep creates more people who can't see the show and would naturally just walk away or get upset. I think about EPCOT and how much...

Fast & Furious: Supercharged - General Discussion

I appreciate your point of view. I think also people are upset of the possibilities of what we could have gotten versus what we are getting. It's going to be a great addition attached to a popular IP but I do feel that they could have tried a little harder to push the envelope.

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

Spacing as it view able area. With attendance numbers high in IOA, I see them building more lagoon standing area before they bring a lagoon show back to IOA. I would relate it more of how they used the Simpson's area expansion to add more lagoon viewing space (arguable also to add eating space)...

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

One of the reasons why it was cancelled was spacing. One of the reasons why it hasn't come back...is spacing.

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

I agree that IOA has a great lagoon but it wasn't designed for night time show. The spots in each island to view the lagoon won't accommodate the guests that need to see the show. US lagoon has far more viewing areas for a show. Yeah it's long but it's able allow people to congregate to see it...

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

I agree. I'm still ram shaking my brain to figure out what makes for a great icon. It's especially hard since we don't have anything but wishes of what they would put in the park along with the overall park story line.

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

Point taken. I was merely looking at the castles being the icons. We know MK and DLP have specific names for them. Point also taken, but still just looking at the castle being the icon. Both castles bend the lines for the point I was making. Both were built using the IP as a reference (one...

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

In thinking about an icon, what makes for a great icon? I feel it needs to be a landmark, like an object that marks it's territory. Think about all other theme parks. If we could possibly suggest an anchor land, what icon could really be used that won't be trite. I think we can give the castles...

    Universal's Cinematic Celebration Night Show

I agree on that. Universal has their hands tied with night shows. Space/noise/ordinaces/etc.

    Universal's New Park/Site B Blue Sky Thread

Icons need to be able to survive generations. I feel they need to be original concepts. IPs are nice but they can easily die. No park uses an IP as an icon. yeah yeah use Mickey Mouse, but he's the mascot, not the icon.

    Aventura Hotel

I wasn't a fan at first but they have three tropical/ tropic/ beachy themed hotels side by side. I would love to see Universal take on modern chic. It needs to be done to rival the supposed I square hotel that would be placed right at skyline with it. Now that I think of it. Do you think...
