    Springfield

Just a quick observation from yesterday's trip: I ate dinner at Cletus Chicken Shack and ordered one of my favorites: the peep fried chicken platter. I noticed the price had gone up to $15.99. When the Springfield eateries first opened, this platter was $13.99--which I thought wasn't too bad...

Dreamworks Theatre with Kung Fu Panda - Coming 2018

I made it to the park yesterday and saw Kung Fu Panda for the first time since technical rehearsals. The actual wait was only 15 minutes at 7:30pm--although the posted sign said 25 min. One observation that the above pictures reminded me of: in the pre-show, about 1/4th of the room has terrible...

Dreamworks Theatre with Kung Fu Panda - Coming 2018

After seeing the Inside Universal coverage of the AP Preview today, I'm very thankful to the IU team and others who alerted us about the technical rehearsals last week. I had signed up for the AP Preview today too, but skipped it since I was able to see the new show three times last week. It...

DreamWorks Theater - Reviews, Photos, & Videos

I had the very same experience the first time I caught one of the technical rehearsals. Shortly after entering the bland queue area with all the switchbacks, the TriWizard Spirit Rally started and that show music was VERY LOUD. I felt like I was in front of Hogwarts Castle. Now Kung Fu Panda is...

DreamWorks Theater - Reviews, Photos, & Videos

Thanks to the timely heads up on social media, I've been able to visit the park twice during technical rehearsals and have seen the show 3 times. I also signed up for one of the AP Previews, but will likely skip it since I've seen it enough. The positives: The theatre is absolutely...

    USH Holidays 2017

I made a quick trip into the park this afternoon, since I had some shopping to do at Citywalk. One observation about crowd flows: the Universal Plaza was crowded as usual around 5:20pm as people were finding their spots for the first tree lighting at 5:30pm. I wandered over to see how long the...

    USH Holidays 2017

I just remembered that there was a cool Holiday-themed show last year that doesn't appear to be back this year. The Happy Holidays Carolers aren't singing on the Upper Lot like last year. I thought this was a really cool period show along Universal Boulevard. Inside Universal wrote about it...

    USH Holidays 2017

I visited USH the past two days. Crowds on Friday (without Grinchmas) were much lighter, as expected. For APs and/or those who don't care about Grinchmas, but want to see the new Magic of Christmas show at WWoHP, you should go on a non-Grinchmas day. On Friday night, there were no lines to get...

    USH Holidays 2017

Good catch! That sounds like it could be a rehearsal for Story Time through the walls in that first video clip. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it was an omitted from the website for mysterious reasons.

    USH Holidays 2017

Well, they're no longer doing the tram show at Whoville during the Studio Tour, so I'm not as enthusiastic about Grinchmas. Yes, The Magic of Christmas show at Hogwarts is very impressive, but that just offsets the loss of the tram show. The Whoville tram show was such a unique experience that...

    USH Holidays 2017

Looking ahead to Grinchmas this weekend: the recent emails to passholders, as well as the USH website itself, does not mention the Whoville show on the Studio Tour. Has this mainstay of USH's Grinchmas celebration been quietly cut this year? Has anyone heard? (edited to add) I went back in this...

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hollywood

I'm sure a few folks have already noticed, but the refurb of the stage is complete and shows are once again being performed on it--weather permitting. You can tell the stage floor is new. I think it looks like a lighter color wood than the original flooring. On a different note, I can also...

Costco Annual Gold Pass vs Annual Gold Pass from Universal

I have another question about the Costco Gold Annual Pass and figured I'd ask it here rather than start another thread. One of my friends bought Costco Gold APs for her family. When she went to register them online, she has to enter the name, DOB, email address for each pass (easy enough) as...

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hollywood

Did we miss an announcement? Or did it get posted in another thread because it's not Harry Potter related?

The Happy Holidays Carolers & The Shinkickers

Yes to more entertainment like this! I remember when they had Dickens-style carolers on Baker Street, alternating with a four(?) piece brass band playing Christmas songs on top of, or around the double-decker bus. Both of these new shows work perfectly on the re-imagined Universal Boulevard!

    HHN Hollywood Speculation/News - 2016

For those interested, the USH Auditions page is updated with information for scare actor and go-go dancer auditions. Auditions are by appointment only, so you'll need to sign up on the website. WHEN: Thursday, July 28 Good luck to anyone who goes for it!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hollywood

I was there on Monday and asked about the flavors at the cart behind Ollivanders. They have three flavors: Chocolate Vanilla Strawberry and Peanut Butter The last flavor is also one of the flavors offered at Florean Fortescue's in Orlando's Diagon Alley.

    The Walking Dead Attraction (Closed)

I'll echo a lot of what has been posted above. Based on two walk throughs yesterday: It's too short. My first time through, I thought maybe I rushed through it, since I was the first person in our batch of guests. So I made sure to take more time the second time through...nope, it still feels...

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hollywood

I was in the park last Sunday as well and can attest to this. It was pretty crowded even well into the evening--when crowds have usually thinned out. And I thought...ok, here are the summer crowds. I'm not at the park today, but I just took a look at the wait times and it seems like the park...

    Universal Plaza

I'm glad you all realized I meant this summer, 2016, and not next summer with your replies.  :) I do hope a character party of some sort returns or something related to The Secret Life of Pets comes to fruition.
