The story could have simply been entering a cinema screen and seeing all the franchises and characters coming to life. This would already be better than what we got.
Franchises are Jurassic, Fast and Furious, DreamWorks (trolls, Kung Fu Panda and how to train a dragon), transformers, Harry...
I guess it is better than nothing but I'm not exactly too impressed with the show. Lacks anything emotional, which may also be related to there being no story. The show did have some nice fountains but it is essentially a clip show with the water screens. Projection mapping when used worked so...
So as a reminder, here is a list of things not opening on time with the official opening of Pixar Pier:
Candy shop
Carousel retheme
Animatronic on the entrance
Inside Out ride
Most likely Poultry Palace
I have never been a fan of the films. It has always annoyed me how they never matched up with the book so it feels more like they just kept the concept but removed the clever story telling I remember reading. However, maybe this film will be better, although I don't like the name.
Don't like it. Floats are too boxy and the main parts are too high. Best part is minions section but even that was not perfect. Seriously underwhelming show
Also, you must remember crowd patterns are changing are WDW. No longer is there such a thing as a quiet season, especially when capacity is reduced. Although saying that, Easter will still be VERY busy, so sorry to say but you will need to expect long queues.
As a UK person, I will compare the building to Derren Brown's Ghost Train. Both are industrial and warehouse based, but unlike dbgt, supercharged lacks any sense of doing something interesting baser on buildings, not the actual ride. At the end of the day, it's my opinion but I just cannot...
I think my views may be to do with coming from the UK, where we are used to Merlin always doing dark themes, similar to the look (emphasis on look) of this attraction. I don't want a ''plastic pink castle", I just want something that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
The brick part looks alright at best but feels rather basic. However, the actual warehouse looks awful, shameful for a company like Universal who can build good theming, such as for wizarding world of Harry potter. It's lazy and unecessary
Black Panther would work amazingly showing off science and technology in the wonders of life pavilion, like at the end of the film. Simple character add in that would be work well.
Next time I feel embarrassed or humiliated, I'm going to tell the news channels so they can embarrass me further and tell the entire nation about the thing that has happened to me.
