Jurassic World VelociCoaster Construction Thread (Opening June 10)

No just where the light is seeping into that gap. Probably just me

No matter how hard I try, I cannot unsee that lighting as being a raptor head popping out of the left hand gap in the maintenance building near the cage curving round the corner.

Thats a cool idea. Had kinda assumed that area theyre working on the exterior of the queue building would be a glass viewing area of the coaster, but could they make that a screened Mosasaur pre show? Would add an extra cool dimension if this was an all round Dinosaur ride and not just a Raptor...

This looks more like intricate cave networks than rock work.

Is it possible that the 'raptor chase' element on that last scene takes place alongside the wall that back onto Popeyes and were chased into the security fencing (orange part of the map) as it bends round the corner, where were 'safe'?

To be honest, even if its a raptor paddock and watch tower/whatever you could consider that 'light theming' - It is only concrete walls and foliage at the end of the day, maybe an animatronic too. But as long as its effective theming then it would be perfect and it sounds like it will be if its...

Im really liking what I'm seeing so far with the Paddock/Watch Tower kind of look. Add a load of electric fences around the perimeter and get that foliage back in and this could be what most people wanted the area to look like all along.

General Discussion - Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

I always assumed that was to give the smoke from that section a warm orange/red glow to give the effect of burning embers as you travelled underneath that opening? Never saw it in action though.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (DHS)

In what way is capacity currently decreased? Presumably there is only one shuttle pre-show and one hangar? Is there further show buildings once you move past the hangar that arent currently operational?

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (DHS)

That Hangar room being relatively empty when your ship is boarded by the first order is surely pretty pivotal to the immersion of the story. It should be pretty straight forward for them to keep that as a big reveal by allowing guests a certain amount of time to walk around before getting them...

Fast & Furious: Supercharged - General Discussion

Finally got to experience this for myself last week and went in with a 'it'll be so bad it'll be fun' kinda mentality. Its not even that, it's harrowingly bad. I just hated every moment of it, despite team members making every effort to make the pre-shows fun. I'd feel really bad for a kid or...

Waits and Uptime Reports - Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

Got on this last Friday. Decided to wait until lunchtime as per the advice here but unfortunately the ride went down just as we were heading over so we decided to head to Kong and the Marvel area and kept an eye on the app. Was starting to get a little concerned we might not get to ride when it...

Waits and Uptime Reports - Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

This is interesting. Im visiting for a single day on the first Friday in December. Im hoping for a quietish day before any holiday crowds arrive but im still expecting a minimum of a 60 minute queue no matter what time of day I decide to get in line. Judging by what you guys have said, I think...

Waits and Uptime Reports - Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

But it sounded like you waited 1hr 50mins? People above have said they waited as little as 45 minutes during the day. I think when I visit in December (and assuming Express isn't in place by then?!) ill use early admission at USF and then head over to IOA half hour or so after that park opens...

T2:3D - Battle Across Time Memorial Thread

I still can't see this not opening by the end of the year, but then the days tick by and I'm struggling to see their angle with not announcing anything to do with this if that is the case. Is this just a new way of launching non e-ticket attractions ala F&F? Or is really just going to remain...

Universal's Epic Universe General News & Discussion

Thoughts: Is this parks 'city walk' the large buildings either side of the 'entrance gate'? It could well be that the ticketed entrance is beyond them at those glass buildings and the first hub section is actually open to the public, but beyond that is ticketed. It feels weird that Nintendo...

Waits and Uptime Reports - Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure

Unfortunately its looking less and less likely to be this year, and I was really hoping it would be in place for my 1 day trip in early December. The only hope now is that they are getting on top of the issues and can re-assess once the summer crowds have gone. This seems to have been a much...

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

Well, as someone who has browned out on this ride and this ride only i'd say that taking a little bit longer between being sat back staring into the soul of the sun to my whole body being tipped forwards and over the crest can only be a good thing.
