The PR stunt that required take-off from STOLport? Not exactly apples to oranges. It was always going to be temporary. There were no plans to make it a permanent feature.
You mean like every other IP land in existence? The rides are always on the opposite side of the entrance. This is like grocery stores putting the milk in the back. It's a design necessity-for crowd control and merchandise sales. A good chunk of the land is wasted right now because it isn't open...
Are you of the view that Disney would've installed permanent gas tanks and gas lines with no shows to follow? It's a laughable position to take. These entire areas were designed with shows in mind, hence the extra wide spaces in front of them to accommodate the crowds that will gather. There is...
Yep, but it shows what is coming. That was just a tease. The land was built with entertainment in mind. Those stages have permanent fire effects in place. This is just one of the performance areas too.
Once crowds pick up after the reservation period ends Disney will be deploying the shows to...
I didn't. It's from Attractions Magazine.
They were trying to capture the overall scale of the guest walkable areas (excluding all of the show buildings). There's a few problems with it. Hogsmeade includes the C-ticket coaster. Star Wars includes too much of the foliage. Diagon Alley includes...
It's not perfect, but you can exclude those areas from your mind if you like. It's not that hard.
Also the overlaid images include some not so exciting areas in the other lands as well.
It does. I like this better.
I'd much prefer to be introduced to something new than enter a spruced up movie set. The land being both familiar and totally new is what makes it so much more amazing.
To be fair, WDI does their most advanced AAs, including all of those you listed, in-house. Universal Creative doesn't do any AA fabrication.
It's likely the Hagrid AA is a product of Lifeformations or Advanced Animations.
With regard to the Millennium Falcon attraction there are 2 pilots, 2 gunners, and 2 "engineers". In terms of engagement and having a real impact on the ride experience it would go: pilots>gunners>>>>engineers.
The engineer positions have much less control over the experience than the other...
That was never rumored. I said 3-4 ride SYSTEMS in the whole experience, depending on if you count the big pre-show system.
This is something I personally hadn't heard. At the very least, there will be a simulated drop.
Oh, I wouldn't make the claim that the "vast majority" aren't part of the...
I've been told the elevators are "high speed", but that's probably just a description of how quickly they can move between floors rather than any thrill element. I doubt that the down elevator contributes to a free fall sensation though this is one of the motion base scenes. The first elevator...
